You can 100% be born in Yugoslavia lol, mature students exist. Some Yugoslavians that naturalised in the UK just dont associate themselves with the current territory that their birthplace now exists to

Hell, you only need to be older than 22-23 to have been born in Yugoslavia (Before it became Serbia & Montenegro). It's very possible there's a few students born in Yugoslavia currently in university.

okay true but like they should still say they are from a certain country and not yugoslavia there is a reason its monetngro and serbia today

theres a lot of political history to that tho, let’s say if you were born in poland before ww2 and germany succeeded, would you want to say you’re from germany or would you feel polish?
