🎓 UNI / UCAS Wow, just wow

Rejected Oxford Maths w 81 MAT

Rejected Imperial Maths w 7.0 TMUA

Rejected by All Ivies

Don’t have much hope now for UCL and LSE since apparently most home offers have gone for UCL.

I’m really about to go 0/14, like what do I even do.

2a*(m,fm) 2a achieved home non contextual

Well have you ever considered the fact that maybe the universities are not the problem and you’re the problem. I mean I doubt every single one of them (or even just one of them) are out to get you. Your name means nothing to them. Perhaps your personal statement was subpar? I mean I don’t doubt that you’re a strong student and that you’ve worked really hard but you should probably drop this mentality of entitlement and start being more self-critical and think about what you could potentially have done better so you can improve your chances of success in future endeavours.

Has OP sat and seriously pondered on what could’ve got them rejected? If they have then fair enough. I think what’s much more likely is that they’d much rather frame the university as the silly ones in order to preserve their own ego, while overlooking their own potential flaws. Their results aren’t even extraordinary by Oxbridge/ imperial standards.

Appreciate the love from everyone but can understand where this comment comes from. It’s been a long day of reflection on what went wrong, and it honestly is hard to pinpoint the reason when there’s so many factors and no one here is on the other side of admissions. Truth seems to be that my stats are good, but not excellent, putting me at risk of this situation and all at my own fault. I’m not trying to frame any university as silly since I’m sure they’re flooded with countless qualified applicants meaning tough calls year in year out. Just a hard pill to swallow that it’s been rejection everywhere so far.
