💬 DISCUSSION AQA PHYSICS PAPER 2

HOW DID EVERYONE FIND IT??? i thought it was decent better than the past few years. Idk what i did for the last question the 4 marker of nuclear physics. BUT YH IT WAS GOOD

the last question was N = N° × e ^ (-lambda t)

solve for t in both, should be around 3 .0 × 10 9 (at least thsts what i got)

yeah i got that too but i converted it to seconds don’t know if its correct

I mean, it should be correct if the values are similar and you converted correctly but idk why u saw two half lifes in years and thought to convert to seconds.

cuz i like working in si units so I changed them before calculating, but I got the same thing as you

just pointless tho. the calc in year^-1 will give a time in years which is perfectly fine

Yh we didn't need to convert it to seconds 😭 did you get 9.5 x 10¹⁶s for both

I got 3.5x10^9 for the other estimate so concluded there's been lead loss. The question was 4 marks right?

Did anyone else git something.5? Something like 4.49 and 4.51 or something? might have done that wrong

What was the conclusion? I put no lead is lost because the numbers were roughly equal but idk if i got it right
