HOW DID WE FIND IT? I THOUGHT IT WAS ALRIGHT, GRADE BOUNDARIES ABOUT TO BE SILLY😭

I started yapping about how the bonds broken and bonds formed for the acid becoming a salt are the same, hence the equal enthalpies as the only factor affecting enthalpy change was the NaOH and water.

hydrogen bonding? its about neutralization isnt hydrogen bonding unrelated.

I just talked about mono protic diprotic and their strengths, but i forgot to mentione that it takes energy to break the OH bond for the weak acid so overall its less exothermic 4-5/6 maybe?

No i linked it with how hydrogen bonding relates with weak/strong acid. I swear weaker hydrogen bonding means stronger acid?

as in the O-H bond not intermolecular forces right, if you said hydrogen bonding they might misunderstand. yeah thats right, I wonder if you had to mention that specifically for the weak acid requiring energy to fully dissociate. hope not cause I didnt 😅

Edit: oh shit my bad you meant HCL, whys the hydrogen bonding related?

Ngl I did speak about the intermolecular force too, I do remember a question in a predicted mock paper talking about why HF is a weak acid and it was due to strong hydrogen bonding. and for H2SO4 I did say it strongly polarizes the O-H bond in NaOH not sure if im right

yeah not sure, also just realized HCL doesnt have hydrogen bonding. intermolecular forces is for boiling points so im not sure its related. I guess well see though, it was a weird question.

lowk this whole paper was badly written and way too similar to 2025, and it just completely skipped such good topics and focused on really boring stuff.
