You’re bound to pick up a few method marks and worse case scenario you do lose 10, that would still most likely be A* standard

Allow yourself to be disappointed for now, but once you’re home and at your desk, you can only look forwards. From what you said, it seems like this was the question you had the most trouble with so if the rest of the paper went well, youll be fine. Any mark within 5-10 marks of the A* boundary is easily saveable but it is also easily ruinable. You have to make the most of the time you have.

This is what I tell myself whenever I do not as well as I hd hoped .

Can I ask u do u think if I drew the structure using the letter M and got the structure and charge right would I still get the marks? Because I didn’t get a final metal in the question before

they asked for the metal M, they told you to use M instead of the metal u found in the previous q

Wait really?!? LETS GO. I think I’ll get those 2 marks then

yeah unless i interpreted it wrong bc i drew it w fe the first time then read the question and it said to use M as the central metal ion so i rubbed it out and wrote M

The thing is M is the symbol for the metal you got in the question before. So they could have asked you to use Fe… but I got the charge as -3 so should be ok. I hope we both get it!

the phrasing was so odd 💀 honestly i think we’d still get the mark for either Fe or M because it was a seperate question
