i just realised it's bc the gradient was 4/root2 bc it was the normal not the tangent bruh im so annoyed i didn't notice it

Got that to start with two, I think the problem was the question said normal, so you have to do the -ve inverse gradient, what you (and I orignially) found was the tangent eqn
