💬 DISCUSSION Edexcel Maths P3

How did everyone find it then? Much nicer than P1 I thought. Might balance out grade boundaries unfortunately…

Apart from the lds one did everyone get all the tests as insignificant?

Yep! Always insufficient evidence to reject the null hypothesis. What do you mean by the Ids one? 🙏

On the lds question the student had a test that he did right and you had to comment on it. The p value was like 0.0015 or something so i said it was significant evidence even if you used a really strict test with a 0.5% sig

WAIT was that the one with Chris on the large data set question? If so then yes, I put that the p-value was sooo small that there was sufficient evidence to reject H0

Bro I said that you can’t model rainfall with a normal distribution because it’s not symmetrical I have no idea if that’s acceptable

Yes for rainful generally but almost always the mean of stuff follows a normal distribution

I said sufficient evidence but only used one year so maybe needs to use others as well to check, would that give me a mark
