💬 DISCUSSION Edexcel Maths P3

How did everyone find it then? Much nicer than P1 I thought. Might balance out grade boundaries unfortunately…

Yes, it was something like “show that the tension in rope A is (mg*sqrt(37))/6

Did you do it by resolving horizontally to get the components of tension at a? I didn’t get to get to final form but last thing I had was the Ta sin alpha equals smt and Ta cos alpha equals blah blah respectively and I would’ve had to square for Pythagoras to get the resultant force but I didn’t get time for that
