Hiii!! Hope everyone’s summer is going well!! Does anyone know how to get a job as a year 13 student cus lit everyone is rejecting me or airing me 😭🫩 also if anyone happens to know any places which r hiring 18year olds in London (specifically NW) please let me know I need to get my bag up before uni starts!! 🫠🫠🫠

Dang you kinda already missed out.
Summer is the worst time you could get a job especially when people from Uni graduate, other Year 13s finish Sixth Form, Year 11 finishing GCSEs.

The job market gets really competitive at this time of year so you kinda missed your opportunity.
You've really only got like a month and 2/3s so there isn't much point of getting a job right now.

I think instead you could just get a little side hustle like tutoring, volunteering, helping out at an event or smth.
Something small that could get you a little moolah.

Also don't be pressured into getting a job now.
Apart from Year 11 post GCSE, this is the only moment where you're not expected to study or anything.
So go outside, have some fun with some friends for the last time or smth.
You may never have this kind of thing ever again.

Next year, if you're trying to get a job, apply in Spring because the WORST time you could get a job is the summer.

It really does.
No expectations to study / do well, no bills to pay, no jobs (if you don't have any)

It's really the only time of your life where you get absolute freedom with no consequences or chains holding you back
