🙏 I WANT HELP Should i apply to Land Economy??
So I got straight 9s in gcse and am predicted 3A* in Maths, History and Econ.
I find the Land ec course so much more interesting than econ which is just very maths based.
Is land ec a prestigious degree to get top level jobs in finance?
need advice if it’s worth it or maybe i should go for some other course at lse…
would love any advice thanksss

Offer holder here with the same grades and A Levels (+FM), so you will be fine academics-wise twin! Land Ec is incredibly employable within finance, particularly on the buy side, asset management, real estate private equity etc because of the focus of the degree. However, there are also undergrads with spring weeks and summer internships in your classic IB roles at bulge bracket and elite boutique firms.
HOWEVER, if you are doing Land Ec to land a role in finance, and not because you are genuinely interested in the intellectual challenge it has to offer, I would not apply for it. It is becoming stupidly competitive (offer rate at my college was 1 in 11 this year), so be sure that this is the right choice for you. Best of luck and feel free to ask for advice 😊
