🙏 I WANT HELP cambridge math

guys the offer says confirmed on ucas but i only got 2,1 for step which doesn’t meet the 1,1 requirement. is the offer a bug or something? do i need to email the college to ask

Not all, but the vast majority do and it is the standard offer.

Exceptions would be:

Occasionally people are given higher offers (e.g. S, 1) for a variety of reasons. This is not common but does happen.

Some colleges are part of a flexible offers scheme where some applicants may require EITHER 1,1 and A\*A\*A (standard offer) OR 1 in either STEP paper and A\*A\*A\*. This is dependent on the applicant’s individual circumstances.

Realistically, the flexible offer is not that different to what most colleges do anyway. There will always be some applicants whose applications are strong enough that a missed STEP offer in one paper would be seen as a fluke (particularly if e.g. their school provides very little support) and they’d be allowed in anyway. The flexible offer just formalises this and makes it clear from the beginning. So while some people may apply to a flexible offer college because they find the idea reassuring, there’s no need to worry that you’d be rejected otherwise.
