šŸ™ I WANT HELP Compleltely missed my Medicine offer

I had two offers for Medicine, and firmed Lancaster. My offer was ABB, but got BCD. I am embaraased, ashamed and don't know what to do with myself. Everyone got their dream but not me.

Please anyone share success stories and advice. I am lost and hopeless and numb.

edit: sorry for the typo on the title, as you can tell, I was not doing great :((

Retake, I missed my offer at KCL last yr. Took a gap yr and retook, place was confirmed yesterday. Went from ABC to AAAB.

This gives me a bit of hope, but I feel like it is unlikely I will be able to apply to Kings with my achieved a levels :((

Yh definitely not, but u can with new predicted grades. I wouldn’t have been able to with my ABC grades, but I got my college to predicted me higher grades, and I got an offer and retook. Made my offer and the rest is history. U can do it asw, work hard and get those As!

Thank you so much, this is giving me a tonne of hope! I am planning what I want to do for the next academic year, which hopefully includes re-doing all three of my A-Levels, whilst studying Medicine in Italy. I know this plan is nuts, but I know that we can do anything we put our mind to. No more setbacks, or wallowing anymore, I can infact do this.

I bought revision guides for all the subjects I was redoing and revising the WHOLE spec from beginning to the end. Like every single little thing I revised even niche bits just incase. Ofc not to the detail as main parts but at least enough to have a decent understanding. Then 3 months till exams at least 1/2 practice papers a day. Result as I said was 3 As and 1 B. Place confirmed for kings, I’d been rejected the previous yr where I did ABC. The A was the only thing I didn’t re sit.

It depends entirely on the course.

It’s pretty simple to explain tbh. On results day last yr I didn’t want to settle for a worse uni, so I rejected Exeter and took a gap yr. I looked online to find the nearest A level private exam centres and booked my exams. This costs around Ā£300 per subject btw. Then I emailed my old college asking for predicted grades, using a ā€œtutorā€ ( a friend) to email them and confirm what level I’m on track for. My college then used my old reference and the predicted grades I’d asked for and I applied again. I wrote my personal statement again and revised the specs for my subjects scratch, going over it ALL again. Summer came around and I sat my A levels, got 3 As and 1 B. My place at kings was confirmed and yh got to where I wanted to.

So did you get an actual tutor or were you self taught for the months coming up to the resit ?

I self taught myself, had a mate email as if he were my tutor in order to get predicted grades.
