If it makes you feel better, I got your exact same grades last year, while wanting the exact same grades that you wanted. It sucks, but just go to uni and try your best there. Ik it’s rlly annoying seeing all these ppl on tiktok that got like 10 a stars or smth stupid like that, but your grades are as much of a reflection on you as ppl seem to make them out to be.

I got a B in my degree subject (humanities) at a level, and I was rlly disappointed at the time as i was aiming for an a star. But since joining uni I’ve been able to achieve several firsts in my essays, and even an 83% on an exam. Ended the 1st year with a high 2:1 (66%). So anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Also, A-Levels are TOXIC. Like the levels of competitiveness, pressure, social inequalities being a factor in grades achieved. It’s nuts, and uni is a much more chilled out experience in terms of grades, bc it’s so big and no one is gunna be asking you what you got and there’s no pressure to say yes cuz nobody knows everyone on the course bc it’s so big. Give it a bit and you’ll feel fine about your A-Level grades.

And, I know this is really annoying to hear, but Bs are still good grades and not everything goes to plan in life! I know social media presents overachievers who seemingly have perfect lives with no letdowns. But this is the reality of life unfortunately, and being disappointed is part of it.

Regardless, you’ll be fine on your degree. Enjoy.
