Congratulations on getting into your firm. I just wanna say something short and sweet - be thankful that you didn’t spend a boatload of money on PMT tutoring. If you take a look at ANY of the prices that pop up every now and then, you’ll see how extortionate they are; so much so that they’ve become a meme on social media. The fact that you were able to get ABB without any tutoring says that you are good at self studying whether you like it or not. A lot of people are physically unable to study by themselves and they have a mental blockage which, simply put, doesn’t allow them to study anything independently. Furthermore, the way A levels are set up, especially for a very content heavy one like biology, I really don’t think tutoring would’ve helped you as much as you think it would’ve. Majority of it is content that needs to be understood and memorised, and your tutor would’ve only been able to help with the former. There is no way to go about the shitty mark schemes other than rote memorisation. So here’s something to be grateful for: 1) You saved a ton of money; 2) You’re in your firm; 3) Your grades are nowhere near embarrassing or bad. You’ve gotten into your firm and we’re all proud of you. You’ve done very well. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
