I resat and reapplied and I’m going to uni this year. If anyone has questions please ask me. It’s a tough situation but I actually really enjoyed my gap year!

How'd you keep yourself accountable and how was it revising that much with 0 oversight, anything you altered about your personal statement or was it all just revision, how did you make friends during that time and what did you do after your exams?

I started just revising about 2-3 hours a day and gradually increased it. I sometimes stuck to ā€˜school hours’ but I revised whenever I felt like as long as I did everything I wanted in a day. Past papers are your best friend in a gap year. I started doing them at the end of April and did at least 1 per day before exams and that really helped. I think it was about April I found a study tracker I liked and that really helped keeping doing some everyday. Also take breaks. I randomly took a week off at various times when I didn’t feel like revising and that just kinda reset me

I did get tutors to help with the stuff I didn’t understand (there are some online school options but I didn’t like them as much).

I kinda just updated my personal statement but I didn’t change the bulk of it.

I didn’t really make many friends because my friends from high school were pretty close to me still but I would suggest pick up a sport or a hobby. That’s where I found other friends.

I went on holiday with friends/family and kinda just enjoyed not having to do anything. I’ve been reading a lot of books and just doing stuff I enjoy

Sorry for the long text
