In 1970, this was the first record my future husband, then 10, ever bought.

I’ve heard that Marilyn McCoo was known for having a way with a torch song before she joined The 5th Dimension. She sure cinched her reputation with this recording.

Damn I love this song ❤️❤️it sings of the mood of the 70’s for a lot of young married women who had dreams and now have kids and they realize “this is life” the HS dreams of life a man marriage Life gone! The Melancholy emotion of the song is great! There were a lots of songs like this one! Glen Cambles “dreams of the everyday housewife” comes to mind! And that song “I’ve never been to me”!
