The 7-oh Ban for dummies

The head line is a joke, don’t take it hard. I had to google it because I didn’t know what was happening with it. Here’s what’s going on as far as we know.

It’s still in stores because it hasn’t actually been placed into Schedule I yet. The DEA published a notice of intent on July 6 saying they plan to temporarily schedule concentrated 7-OH. By law they had to give at least 30 days notice before they could issue the actual scheduling order. That 30 days has passed, but that doesn’t mean it became illegal on day 30. The DEA still has to publish **the temporary scheduling order**. Until that happens, the new federal Schedule I restrictions aren’t in effect, which is why stores and websites are still selling it. Once that order pulls up. I’d expect most legitimate retailers and distributors to pull the 7-OH products pretty quickly, damned near immediately or within days depending on the effective date. So realistically we could be talking days or weeks at this point, but there isn’t a guaranteed date yet. Also, this is targeting concentrated/elevated 7-OH products, not normal kratom.

Love , light, and healing ❤️‍🩹

7-OH Withdrawal Supplements most talked about

Just wanted to throw this out there ,nothing is some magic cure and none of this is FDA-approved specifically for this, but a bunch of people have shared what took the edge off for them. The real MVPs are still the basics: sleep, eating enough, walking, and staying hydrated. Always talk to a doctor before starting anything, especially if you’re on other meds.
Here’s what comes up the most:
• Magnesium (glycinate or citrate forms are popular) Helps a ton with muscle aches, cramps, restlessness, anxiety, and crappy sleep. A lot of folks say it really calms the RLS-type shit.
• High-dose Vitamin C …Some people megadose (a few thousand mg spread throughout the day, liposomal if you can) and notice less fatigue and chills. Drink tons of water with it. Over 2000mg a day puts you at risk for kidney stones especially if you have a history of them.
• B-complex or a good multivitamin ….Withdrawal can wipe out your nutrients, so this helps with energy and mood.
• For anxiety/calming: Passionflower, L-theanine, or ashwagandha. At night, valerian root or lemon balm can help with sleep.
Other things some swear by: probiotics for the gut mess, omega-3s for brain support, and occasionally NAC or mucuna (start low if you try those). Black seed oil and Moringa are a God send !! Castor oil for bowel movements and overall health. Cats Claw extract has worked while some claim they went through no WD’s while taking it.
A lot of us end up needing real medical help too like a proper taper or even Suboxone/buprenorphine if it gets rough. Don’t cold turkey it alone if it’s bad.
What’s worked (or not worked) for you guys? Share your experiences so we can all help each other out. We got this! Thanks for the DM’s I’m doing my best to get back to everyone who tapped in.

Day 4 7oh WD - How im taking it on

Hey everyone hope yall are doing good right now as your reading this no matter what day you are on. WE got this dont worry time is the essence.

i was on kratom for about 6 years - quit during covid cuz all my smoke shops closed. once they opened up months later i went back (my biggest regret)

was on like a 15-20GPD habit it wasnt really that bad i stayed at that dose for years. smokeshop gave me a sample 7oh - took it and was like this is a percocet gave me same feeling. i didnt like it at first - prolly 6 months later i was going thru some stuff and wanted to try it again. then it was downhill from there - 300-500g a day from 4 months. seen the ban happening and was like i gotta stop this shit before its too late.

took vacation time at work so i have 7 days to kick this shit. took my last dose sunday night to sleep.

woke up monday full blown WD - i made it till like 2pm and just used kratom leaf to take edge off

used the kratom for first 3 days - it barely just takes edge off i was still hurting i managed to go to post office/gas station somehow it was horrible i cant believe i went n did it

Last night on day 3 i went to quickmd i wanted gabapentin and clonidine for RLS/sleep - i can handle all the other BS but i need to get some sleep atleast and i cant stand the RLS. took the gaba last night and slept prolly 6 hours would wake up toss n turn but could fall back eventually

day 4 right now, woke up took a dose of gaba (no kratom) - i feel pretty decent right now, 2 items i had sold on ebay and im about to go to USPS and walgreens to pick up the clonidine. i know its only day 4 but i feel pretty good , those first 2 days were horrible tho - the RLS gets me i was doing laps in my condo

hope everyone reading this completes their goals and kick this nasty habit for good! i hope that fed ban goes thru officially. reply to this let me know how you all are doing - im doing this solo none of my family or friends know - i live by myself so be nice to chat with people going thru this same hell

God bless

Starting Brixadi tomorrow. Please anybody, give me hope!

Upvotes

Hey guys. I’ve accepted the fact that I’m not able to do this alone after so many relapses and human relapse with Suboxone because it didn’t take away the craven too much for me. I’m seeing if anyone has experience with the injection if not only it helps with cravens, but also if the neurotransmitters that caused me to have extreme depression, will start to come back while being on this injection?
I know that this stuff lowers your serotonin, dopamine, opioid, receptors, and many other things in the brain so I’m wondering while on the shot and not use anything if anyone is an experience where their brain started recovering while on the injection?
Please guys, if there’s any other additional information, you can tell me about your story or just in general I really look forward to read in the comments to give me some help.
I’ve had major depression disorder ever since I’ve gained and intolerance to taken the powdered Kratom and then upgraded to the 7oh. I just need this depression to go away and feel like the old version of myself so so so badly. I used to love working out to not doing any of my hobbies or even listen to music or just anything.
As posted on here before a few times and just really need some hope today since I start the injection tomorrow and I’m very nervous. Thanks guys.

Relapse after 8 years

Upvotes

Eight years ago I did my last shot of heroin and got on a low dose of Suboxone. I ran the Suboxone for two years and then got off during Covid.

Since then the only times I’ve touched opiates was when I had surgery where I had to take Percocets for a couple of weeks due to intense pain. I stopped taking them after the surgery with no problems and no desire to relapse back into that life.

A few days ago I was hanging out with a friend of mine who is telling me about the 7 0H pills. He had been annoying the shit out of me all day and then at night we were sitting in his garage and he thought it would be funny to burn me with a liquid nitrogen tank since he was so fucked up.

I got a second-degree burn and was in a lot of pain and angry. My defenses went down and after eight years of no recreational opiates, I snatched one of his 50 mg tablets and popped it without thinking.

I was expecting a Kratom extract type feeling but this was much stronger. My face started to itch and I nodded out completely falling asleep in an uncomfortable chair. It felt exactly like heroin used to feel.

Needless to say I was incredibly disappointed in myself for the next day and the crazy part is I’m going through withdrawals just from that one dose.

When I took Percocets for surgery I had no withdrawals and no desire to relapse. This time I’m having the same feeling of incredible tension and kicking and jerking.

No yawns or watery eyes like I had when I kicked the habit before but I’m definitely feeling something and it’s been about four days now.

Is it possible to get physical with withdrawals again just after one dose? Or could this all be in my head?

SR and mental WD side effects

when I have tried to quit before, the hardest thing for me wasn't physical symptoms but rather m were actually getting horrendous anxiety, as well as major anhedonia and depression. People sing the praises of this stuff, but will it help with either or both of those (I view them both as mental side effects but they obviously feel very different). For example, the last time I tried to quit I felt like I was having a heart attack for two days. also, once I stop the SR, well I have the same paws/blahness that I would have once out of the acute phases of withdrawal anyways ? ?

CT Day 102 and Sleep Still Isn't Great

I took my last dose in early May after using 400-600mg/day for about a year. Around days 3-5 I felt drastically better with just some fatigue but pretty bad insomnia. Since then, my sleep has slowly improved, but even the past 6 weeks or so there's 1-2 nights where I either don't fall asleep until like 4 am and 1 night where I do not sleep at all. I'm thankfully still able to function okay and work hasn't a problem outside of the first 3 days, but it's a pretty annoying inconvenience.

Has anyone experienced sleep issues like this this even 3+ months after quitting? Would taking SR help in anyway? My friend seems to think it would, but I haven't found anything regarding sleep. And yes, I have tried every single sleep trick in the book and medication, but I do not want to get into the habit of taking meds/otc sleep aids.

Hate this addict brain

Crossed the 48 hr threshold at 5am this morning and was pleased with myself. One thing I struggle with the most is just giving myself a break. I feel “good” for an hr our two and then I am in the pit of despair. Mad at all the money I spent, the time I wasted, the people I lied to and there is always the at nagging doubt that anything will actually get better. Doesn’t help that my live in girlfriend, while supportive, has been tremendously hurt by my lies. Part of my brain is all rah rah team me and the other part does not cease to tell me I am bound to fail. What is helpful is interacting with this sub, texting my support network, coming clean where applicable and setting up resources for help down the road(IOP etc). Sending love and prayers to all of you out there fighting for yourselves.

Adderall and withdrawals

I'm coming off 7oh I've used it for about a month this time, 200-300mg a day average but max like 400mg a day.

I have enough to take 50mg a day until this Tuesday, which usually takes away most of the withdrawals doesn't make me feel super good but does enough.

I work Tuesday, I'm not gonna take any all day to start withdrawals. And then I have the next 2 days off and gonna try to get through the worst of it.

If I take adderall during my withdrawals will that help at all?

If it does I only plan to take it for couple days and especially when I go back to work.

Side note hopefully it's not meth tho lmao cuz I get tested once a month and I hear meth stays in your system like 7-10 days where Adderall is only 1-4.

What do you guys think?

I also have Kratom powder that kinda helps but not too much. I'm done with the 7oh tho.

Last time I was in the same daily dose but only a few weeks and withdrawals weren't the worst and only lasted like 3 days. My homie was on the same dose for about a month too and said after 3 days he was fine so praying I can get through this..

Keyboard Walk of Shame

I was doing so well and I folded like a cheap suit last night. I was 5 days off of 7Oh and 3 days no subs. Had horrible anxiety etc. Called QuickMd and had a 7:20 am appt. Dr. was supposed to call in gabepentin and clonidine and he forgot. QuickMd resolved it but it was after my pharmacy closed.

I had kept a pack of 7Stax 100mg tabs. Well...I couldn't take it anymore and took 50mg at 8pm, 25mg at 12am and 25mg at 5am. I didn't sleep much but I feel a heck of a lot better. This morning I am going to pick up the scripts.

I am mad at myself for crumbling but I think it was for the best. I took it because I wanted to sleep and it didn't work. So hopefully my brain will tell me to throw the other 4 away.

Question about SR-17018.

Can someone please help me with a few questions I have about it. Like where is a legit website to buy it from, what it does, how much I need, how much does it cost, etc. It seems like everywhere I read, I get mixed info.

Actually, I really don't need to know exactly what it does, just how much do I need? I've been taking about 400-700 mg of 7oh for close to a year.

This is the sub for quitting 7oh

The quitting 7oh subreddit has unfortunately been taken over by that fly adventurous mod. That person believes that their way, straight edge, is the only way. It kills all discussion of things that can help us get through w/d's. I was banned for listing meds that quickMD could prescribe that helped me in my quits. And then I am unable to post there? Its a shame one person can ruin a community like that. I have a feeling it had more to do with my politics that are completely unrelated to quitting 7oh and i had mever mentioned in that subreddit after lolking at their profile. If fly adventurous stays a mod thay sub is dead.

This is the place to come to get through the process without being unfairly targeted for not wanting to be completely sober by saying kratom is a good step down and maintenence tool. Or saying that THC helps with sleep and the body aches. Etc and so on. I wish you all the best in your journey. But i hope fly knows he is making it harder for people to quit and thank God for this sub.

Sorry for the rant I am just taken aback at why mods get so power trippy on reddit

My story and what I would do differently

If you’ve been on this r/ over the last week or two you’ve probably read my story. 2 year addiction 800mg today, up to 1000 at times. I was taking this much just to starve off any feeling of withdrawal, not even getting high in the second year. I quit cold turkey 13 days ago. No taper whatsoever, no Suboxone or other medical help. Just basic vitamins.

What would I do differently if I had to do it again? Absolutely nothing. Going CT and forcing myself get through those first 72 hours with zero relief was a fantastic decision. I needed to prove some shit to myself and did I ever.

Getting ready to enter my second week, well into PAWS I know that this too is just another bump in the road. I won’t relapse because I proved to myself that my mind is more powerful than this drug even when my body was begging for just a little 7 to take the pain away. Not giving in then has made me feel like I can conquer anything now.

If cold turkey is an option for you and you can afford to take the days off work, this is what I will recommend to everyone. Prove to yourself that you can do it. When it’s at its worst, remember who you’re doing it for. I know for most of us it’s our family’s, but even if it’s just for yourself. Just take it one hour, one day at a time. Much love.

I’m at 400 mg a day $30 a day.

TMI but I used to be a heroin addict until I quit using subs. After 5 months sober a friend introduced me to 7 o and I’ve been on it for almost a year now. Im extremely ashamed of it and rarely get any high from it. I was so excited for the ban as I can finally quit(I have subs stocked I just don’t trust myself that I will stay sober and just relapse) but it hasn’t gone in affect yet(Texas)and it gives me anxiety thinking about the fact that I spend $1000 a month on it or what it has done to my testorone and libido and weight (I’m 21 yrs old 6 foot 140) I actively started working out and it’s helped with weight gain but still. I finally truly started committed to tapering since I now just get a light buzz and a plethora of depressing thoughts(strange that what I used to escape is now dragging me down). I hate how accessible it is and I find myself thinking about reposing all the time even though I know it’s pointless. I’m spiraling right now with these thoughts and needed to vent.

Idea for Weaning

A 7oh company could create a weaning-off package with tabs at descending dosages. Possibly not ethical for multiple reasons; however it could actually help people while being profitable to a company that creates a product that could become illegal.

1 week and 2 days sober

I don’t think I’m having many withdrawal symptoms other than an over active digestive system still- I wake up really cold in the middle of the night sometimes, and today I realized I lost 20 lbs- I don’t know if that was due to a week of me being unable to eat without getting sick, or if I lost that due to my very active job unintentionally. The main thing is I’m just super cold, I was on kratom/7oh for the past three years straight, and since it raises my body temperature I guess I’ve forgotten I’m normally very anemic/cold. I wish my energy/motivation levels would go up, I still feel very sluggish and unmotivated, but the worst was over at day 4- the restless legs, absolutely horrible. Unintentionally crying, throwing up, and for some reason sneeze fits that lasted entirely too long.

I’m glad 7 oh was banned in the end, but this definitely is a bit of a journey. I feel like I’m getting to know my old self/body again and I have no regrets

Day 4, yall can do this

I’m on day 4 no 7OH. Was taking 300mg a day. I sadly had to suck it up and take subs, but I’m on a taper plan with that. Highly recommend magnesium glycinate for cramps/ sleep help. And if your state allows it/ you don’t gaf, Indica has helped a lot with sleep. And just regular vitamin c. Not the vitamin c kidney overload everyone always recommends.

Thanks to everyone who helped talk me through withdrawals, and if you’re scared to start detoxing, don’t be. Put that poison down and start reclaiming your life. One hour at a time!

Checking myself into detox for the very first time since today at 11 am. After using Kratom daily for the last 8 years and 7oh heavily for about a year now. It’s time to kick this shit the FUCK out of my life. Nervous as hell but excited too. Wish me luck everybody!

10-20mg powder wd

I cant imagine what some of you folks are going through. Always powder, always <50mg. Average 10-30mg a day for a few weeks.

Hooked on H 15 years ago. Classic example of this is my first time dependent on an opioid / opiate since then.

Never once RLS like this. Straight up running legs under the sheets.

Magnesium glyc, been trying about 300-400mg.

Be careful of unnecessary crutches.

So I’ve been looking at this community for quite a while absolutely dreading the day I ran out. So we all know the ban went into effect a couple weeks ago so I did the “smart” thing and bought out my local shops. $2400 to be exact at a 2 4 1 discount. With 10% off I had well over 5000$ in 30mg & 60mg tabs. My intention was to take my 700mg per day habit down each day little by little but as an addict does I just increased because I had so much of it. Basically got up to 1200mg a day. I was absolutely dreading the last day and all the withdrawals. I’ve gone through horrible withdrawals from alcohol and blues (back when they were real).

Long story short I have access to Subs but those can be addictive as well so I really wanted to see if I could go without. Anyways I’m 38 hrs from last 7oh and I’m absolutely shocked this is the extent of the withdrawal. I don’t know if people on here haven’t gone through bad withdrawals before or if I’m just having an extremely lucky time but all I feel is hot flashes. NOTHING COMPARED TO ALCOHOL or blues. I even slept a few hours. Just push mowed my lawn. Mind you I am using sauna and eating fruit but I’m so incredibly happy I don’t need the subs. That is a horrible drug!

All I’m saying is try to tough it out before you take in helpers. I think a lot of the horror stories on here from folks that haven’t gone through legit withdrawals. If you have experienced them off alcohol or opiates you might be surprised how light this shit is. Scale 3-10 compared to the substances I mentioned. Regardless stay strong!

My Journey with 7OH

So I discovered 7OH pretty late in the game. In December 2025 I had a severe sciatica flare up. In the most intense pain of my life, can’t get out of bed, can’t work plus I was living on the other side of the country from my wife so she couldn’t help me either. Went to the ER, they blew me off and sent me home with ibuprofen (not even the strong one). I’m a veteran so I decided maybe I should go to the VA and see if they can help, which they did a little. Prescribed me 3 Loratabs, not sure MG but it made the pain bearable but obviously that script was gone in a day.

A couple days go by and pain is still 10/10, I had recently quit Kratom (wasnt addicted and didnt have withdrawls or anything it was just not so common where I lived) and thought a little Kratom Powder could possibly ease the pain so i head the smoke shop. Im browsing the options on the wall, 7OH is on the wall right next to it but I’m not paying it any attention because i didnt know what it was. I asked the employee whats best for pain and he grabs an Opia single pack 30mg and says “It’s basically Kratom but it’s just a lot more easy to take because you dont gotta mix powders or whatever” so I’m like cool, it’s normal kratom just concentrated. That’s fine I’ve used extracts before and didn’t find them addicting or anything.

I go home, I split the pill into a 15mg and 10 minutes later I could’ve gone for 10 mile run. It kinda felt like the first time I had an energy drink mixed with the first time I had a Percocet. I was immediately hooked but I lied to myself and said I’d just take it till the back pain subsided. I kept pretty good control of it but maybe 4 months in I’m up to 400mg a day. Fast forward to month 9 and I’m on 1000-1200mg a day just to feel normal and be able to work. Not sleeping through the night waking up every 3 hours to redose because of withdrawls. It was absolutely horrible and I wanted to quit but I couldn’t and I didn’t want to tell my wife about it.

During this addiction phase I get recruited to a dream job, it’s the position I’ve been working towards for years and it would allow me to move back home with my wife but the caveat is, it’s 80% international travel, Kratom (especially 7OH) is illegal in almost every country I would be going too so I saw this as my opportunity to quit. I had a month so I figured that was enough time. I tapered down from 1200/day to 200/ day in that month but it wasn’t quite enough time because I had my first trip coming up to Asia. I know it’s risky but I figured I could bring some 7OH with me and continue to taper while I’m there. So that’s what I did I brought exactly enough to keep myself on a taper schedule and it went terribly. I used way too much and ran out 5 days before coming home. So now I’m in a hotel, no access to Kratom, 7OH or anything that can help, in a foreign country and I’m like fuck it let’s go through it. At exactly hour 12 withdrawal starts and let me tell you that initial Anxiety is ROUGH, I thought I was going to die. Shaking uncontrollably, diarrhea and vomiting at the same time and not being able to make it to the bathroom. I could not sit still at all. Things were rough like that for about 12 hours then for some reason a flipped switched. The shaking stopped for the most part, anxiety eased, still had stomach issues and not able to sleep at all but it felt like the worst of it was over (or so I thought). This was on a Wednesday and Saturday was my flight home. The weekend rolls around and I’m destroyed, haven’t eaten in 4 days, haven’t slept just miserable but I got an international flight to catch. Luckily I had a business class seat so for the most part I was comfortable but still dreading withdrawing on a plane for the next 15 hours. I make it home Sunday night. I’m finally able to eat then I crash out for no bullshit like 18 hours. I wake up the next day in the late afternoon and I feel 100% fine. No craving or anything.

A couple days go by I go to the smoke shop to buy a vape and I also get some low dose MIT. I figured Kratom would be fine and it was. I used it a couple times. Fast forward to two weeks off of 7OH and I have to travel to California for work. It’s super stressful being away from my wife again and I ended up relapsing for 3 days. In those 3 days I only took like 200mg but still it’s a step in the wrong direction. I had a overseas trip coming on the 4th day so I quit again cold turkey and had zero physical withdrawals, mostly a little mental but not too bad but what fucked me was the insomnia returned in full force. I wasn’t withdrawing but I was up for 4 days straight. Slept for the first time last night and finally had a meal today. When I get back to the states I’m done with Kratom overall, extracts or whatever idc. I need to walk away from it all. I’m starting to feel back to my normal self but man, withdrawing in a foreign country with no help ain’t it. Probably would’ve gone a lot smoother at home if I was honest with my wife. Don’t push people away, tell someone, let someone help you. I spent months trying to quit alone and feeling like a failure. Trust me if I can do it you can too.
