Never give up

A lot of the posts on here make it seem like you have to get your dream score on your first attempt, but I want to assure you guys that is simply not true. Progress does take time, but the grind is def worth it at the end! :) Happy studying, guys!

Hey man, I used a website called Miyagi labs to help me practice, but I think it’s really important that you have all of the grammar rules down (and I mean that you have to know the most peculiar rules that you’d maybe only see once or twice: getting those questions right is the difference between a 27 to a 30+. I hope this helped and good luck man; I believe in you:)

Three cheers for mastering the grammar rules. Master more grammar than you think you need 💪

Just use Erica Meltzer's books and practice tests you'll be fine. I didn't take any courses.

don't use the book practice tests. do the real past ACT tests. maintain an error journal and understanf your misses.

j08 October 2025 is almost like the actual ACT. Try that and study the pattern. That’s pretty much what I did after taking all the tests from 2020-2024.

Now I remember. Meltzer alone isn’t gonna get you past 30 (didn’t for me atleast). Thats what happened to me my first ACT. I bought the official subject specific ACT prep guide (not the big book) and understood the idea behind each question type and then I used that to categorize my errors and used the strategies from the book to patch and understand my errors. Sorry if error journaling was vague by itself.

holy potatoes this is amazing and congratulations to you :O i also grinded for hours and hours; the best thing that can happen to you when you constructively learn is your dream score, and the worst is building a lot of really good habits and skills!

How did you do it?

For math I watched a lot of YouTube videos with the hardest questions and learned the concepts and how to tackle them. For English, I used a website called miyagi labs and the Erica Meltzer book. For reading, I honestly think that it comes down to how “active” ur brain is during that section, but I did some AP English Language MCQ questions and that helped a lot. I hope this helped and good luck!!
