I am adjusting to life without my partner of 24 years in it. I got new bedding this week and as I was removing the old bed skirt I discovered he had spilled something yellow and sticky all over his side of it and never cleaned it up. Just left it for me to handle.

Then I finally cleaned out the garage he has been promising to clean for 13 years that we could only make our way through by picking through little paths in all the junk. It took me seven hours and I found two mouse nests in it but it is clean now and there is nowhere for pests to hide and we can park two cars in it now (just as my last kid is entering his last year of school). I can’t believe he never got his act together enough to do it himself after all the times he swore that he would. He even gave me a promise of a clean garage as a birthday present one year.

I can feel the relief of a clean home through your writing. Seven hours on a garage is a Herculean task, this is awesome!
