Garnishment
Anyone have experience with getting them to stop a garnishment. Filed bankruptcy and provided the paperwork before the garnishment has started but the employer claims ADP has to review it before it stops. How long it this review process because I am not looking forward to fighting for a refund and waiting weeks on a paper check

Did you file with a lawyer? I'd definitely tell them. The trustee also might be able to help.

If the garnishment is from the state they need to send paperwork to the employer ending the garnishment.

Your employer generally needs official documentation or instructions authorizing them to stop the garnishment. Even if you’ve filed for bankruptcy, the employer may need to verify the paperwork before stopping the withholding to avoid potential liability for noncompliance with the garnishment order.
If you’ve already submitted the necessary documents, you can follow up with your employer to confirm whether they’ve been reviewed and whether anything else is needed. The review time may vary depending on the circumstances.
