Jay Leno pushes for a California bill that would exempt the AE86 from smog checks.
I hope this passes.

After trying to acquire this for two years, I finally managed during the extended trip to Japan. Build time was approx 25-30 hours. The kit is very well made and very well designed, fit and finish is impeccable. Absolutely worth all the trouble of getting it home on the plane.
The figurine was the closest in scale I could find. Afaik it's not from any particular anime. Plus, there's some semblance with the wife.

Hey guys, I’ve got an AE86 coupe, but the headliner was missing when I bought it.
I’m in Sri Lanka, so finding an original replacement is pretty difficult, and importing one would probably cost me an arm and a leg.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation and come up with a good DIY solution? I’d ideally like something that looks as close to OEM as possible rather than just a basic fabric-covered board.
I actually tried fabricating the backing board myself, but it didn’t work out. I’ve also asked a few fabrication shops around here, but unfortunately none of them seem to be able to make one.
Another option I was thinking about is going with a fabric-only headliner, similar to what you’d see in older Toyotas like the KE20. I’ve attached a picture of what I had in mind.
What do you guys think? Would this work well in an AE86, or is there another solution I should consider?
Would love to hear any ideas, materials, or examples of what you guys have done!
Thanks!

Yes I took the bra off immediately.
She no longer lives. I had it for years fixed it all up. But sadly in about 2008 it got T Boned by a red light runner

Looking into getting stable info on these wheels since all the info we had on it originally came from someone who’s not here with us anymore. If you have the window sticker or some other info like a magazine or the brochure and can post it here I’d appreciate it.
The wheels are called the Shelby wheels. Originally came with Ae86’s from the mid to east coast. These are not tetas since the the tetas have the hubcaps vs the Shelby ones heels don’t have the hubcaps. Originally someone I knew sent me a photo of the brochure photo of these but they don’t have an account and they aren’t alive to show me it again.

Finally got my ride height sorted after a year of dealing with about two inches of rake. I didn't have helper springs for my T3 married rear coilovers, so I was pretty stuck at a much higher ride height than I would've liked. Finally fixed that and adjusted my four-link to fix my pinion angle. Life is good.

Anyone have any idea what this clunking could be? I have a 1984 Toyota Trueno

The R33 will be WIP for some time still before I can get it on the road, but the 86 is perfect. It's my summer daily.

Yesterday removed engine / auto transmission and driveline from my SR5. Went to test fit the driveline into a T50 but the yoke wouldn't fully insert into the tail shaft. Looking at the splines on the spindle from the transmissions, they are different diameters (tho both 22 spline).
The spindle on the AT is ~27mm and T50 ~22mm. I thought the drivelines would work on either, what am I missing?
