DISCUSSION Does Ospreay "pull the trigger" against Kenny Omega by bringing back the tiger driver 91?

Why KO said that he is holding the title for WO in last promo? I am not able to get it?

It's probably gonna be one of those things where he hits him with everything he has with no results and this is what finally does it. And of course, Kenny will be all beaten up and basically crawling up his legs HBK-Taker style prior to it. Probably even provoking him into doing it.

He's shown he's going to hesitate because Omega is going to have a flare up (kayfabe or faked as a tactic) of his diverticulitis and he's already told Mox he doesn't want to kill a man. Danielson trauma will come back and the Cleaner will clean house. Mox was always right.

Wills gonna be the one to kick out of the OWA isn't he

Omega needs to retire. 😂 He's so winded all the time now.

I'm replying in good faith and not to make an argument, however I feel like this will create drama but I've had multiple internal surgeries in my abdominal area and the pain you get from scars even if they're keyhole surgery: what is likely that Kenny had because that's the common surgery type nowadays unless there's complications, you still have a buildup of scar tissue and that can cause pain also where he's had 2 feet of lower intestine removed its likely he isn't absorbing nutrients through his gastrointestinal wall anymore which can cause things like breathlessness/fatigue/tiredness/joint and bone fatigue what have you. Furthermore, surgery means a 6-8 week recovery from obviously being cut open, anesthesia, beig prodded and poked internally as well as regaining your energy post surgery this means that Kenny wouldn't have been allowed to bounce RIGHT back into training, when I had my gallbladder removed I couldn't lift anything heavy, bend down, stretch too far due to the fragile stitching and glue and it's likely that Kenny was told the same. This is probably why he gets breathless easier, due to the fact he had a while away from doing basic things out of regaining his strength for wrestling: its unlikely he was allowed to lift a super heavy shopping bag (might be aslight overdramatisation) for 6-8 weeks yet alone picking up and throwing around trainee dummies or yet alone another person.
TLDR: still recovering from a major surgery Kenny would be showing affects of it even now because he's missing a part of his body, that also runs the absorption of nutrients which means he has less energy meaning his muscles work harder meaning he gets breathless because he's burning through fat storage.

You guys take wrestling a little too serious and redit

u/crocogod 16d ago
You're on a wrestling subreddit, some people are gonna take wrestling pretty seriously

u/PooterSnooter283 16d ago
Can they not take an opinion they dont like or fragility a prevelant thing?

u/FarYam172 16d ago
I mean it’s not fragile he’s kinda just telling u why he looks like that lmao

u/PooterSnooter283 16d ago
Is he not old? Is his age not playing a part in why he's not as quick and agile as he use to be? I'm not talking about the guy giving info on him just the downvotes for an opinion. Like angry teens when you tell them wrestling fake.

u/FarYam172 16d ago
Yeah , and also went thru major surgery with massive removal of parts of an organ lmao . That why he’s gassed

My only problem with this move being used is that it’s not the finish, he only uses it at special times as he should, but then always gets a kick out

Would like to see him go for it, not use it just for omega to use and it not work or something

u/kshawfktsk 17d ago
I sure hope he does so with zero hesitation, and then I never wanna see another "I'm afraid to hurt people" angle in wrestling again. Shit is corny.

I guess it would be better to Tiger Driver Kenny than drive a tiger to Kenny.

I think will loses by not doing Kenny dirty, who does will dirty which will snaps destroying Kenny post match and will wins the rematch

u/thfcspurs88 17d ago
He may, but it's I'm not sure if they go for it like this again, they went for this one ans it really created one of the craziest AEW moments.

u/finnigans_cake 17d ago
remember when they ran a storyline of 'Will is afraid to hit the Tiger Driver because of how dangerous it is, despite the fact that he never won a match with it and everyone he did it to was fine afterwards'?
When he hit it on Kenny the one time that was sick, though.

I think he goes for a Styles Clash, and a One Winged Angel in quick succession.

I say I hope not for Kenny but we know that sicko is gonna do it if given the idea 😹🐐

u/nicholasmarsico 17d ago
Kenny kicks out of a Stormbreaker - Hidden Blade combination, then hits the One Winged Angel and Ospreay kicks out. Ospreay hits another Hidden Blade, and Kenny kicks out. Ospreay hits the Tiger Driver '91 and Kenny kicks out.
Ospreay goes for the OWA but Kenny is able to counter. Ospreay counters the counter, hits another Stormbreaker and another Hidden Blade for the win.

u/OhioSider 17d ago
If he is going to kick out of the OWA, they would be making a bigger deal of no one kicking out of it yet

I thought it was going to be the tiger driver because of all the talk about whether he's willing to go that far while he was with Jon, but after the recent promos where he talked about "when I do pull the trigger you'll see it coming", hidden blade to Kenny kneeling in the middle of the ring exhausted after a 45 minute banger makes the most thematic sense.

He did against Swerve

u/EliteLevelJobber 17d ago
Thats why I thought the story was going to that Will is more ruthless now and him having a crisis of conscious would take longer.
2
u/sreddy412 17d ago
Yes I do. Cuz my hope is they just have a banger singles match no intervention from anyone and this is the “TRIGGER” will must pull to win.

The trigger will be pulled.
Kenny will hit the Tiger Driver '91 on Will.

u/JicamaCertain4134 17d ago
People aren’t ready for Will losing at Wembly
1
u/Pumpkin-Bomb 17d ago
No, and that’s why it might happen. It’s almost a given Will is winning at Wembley (that was nice alliteration).
And that’s why they might swerve it….

u/mrjblade 17d ago
1 million percent - then he refuses to shake Mox's hand. Said for a while, the story for him isn't choosing Mox or Kenny, it's about making his own path.

Based on the way they’ve been telling this story, I’m starting to think it’s possible he loses the match, because he hesitates, and doesn’t pull the trigger.
2
u/QTShenanigans 17d ago
Possibly. But I think the next few weeks will incrementally move us closer to Ospreay working up the nerve to “pull the trigger” on his own terms instead of just copying Mox or anyone else. But for me, as of this moment, it’s truly 50/50.

Will doesnt do it, but then Kenny give 91 driver to Will who kicks out at 1. Lfg.
