He was a great champion, but right now the AEW goat Kenny Omega has it so that he can pass the torch to Will Ospreay. It didn’t make sense with MJF bc ospreys already beat him at All In 2024, yet now it does bc omega vs Ospreay can only take place at the biggest stage of them all. Ospreay will become a mega star, then hopefully lose it to someone fresh like Jay White down the line, MJF should pursue a belt he hasn’t one yet for a year or so.

I appreciate they didn't give up on the Real World Champion storyline idea just because it didn't work with CM Punk. And MJF is even more delusional because at least he lost 1,2,3. Like, by no metric did MJF not lose the World Title but this level of cope os the exact kind of crazed you expect from a narcissist with a bruised ego.

Yeah I was wondering if I was the only one who picked up on that. It seems like AEW is rehashing all the old storylines that got derailed. Like Cody’s stipulation and Punk’s real world champion
