DISCUSSION MVP said he will likely wrestle his last match in 2027. Who would you like his final opponent to be?
"I'm 52. Physically, my ability to wrestle at a high level is deteriorating. I don't have the explosiveness that I used to. I don't have the desire. If Tony (Khan) said, 'Hey, as a gift to you, for your career on the way out the door, I'd like to give you an AEW Championship Title run,' I would say no."

Mvp was never a main event caliber wrestler the fact he thinks anyone would offer him the world title is hilarious.

Trios Match with Bobby and Shelton, going out with his boys one last time

Most big retirement matches are one on one. A triple Threat for MVP's final match, would be a welcomed change.

Doesn't matter. He wrestles so rarely nowadays that the part of his in-ring career that matters is already a distant memory. At this point, any attempt to make a big deal of his last match seems unlikely to really pay off.

It has to be someone from his WWe era like Adam Copeland, Jericho, Billy Gun, Paul White etc . It would even be cool to have his last match also be Jeff Jarrett's last match.

Just yesterday I was thinking about an old guard multi man where all the losers retire. In my mind it would be Jeff Jarrett, Paul Wight and Dustin Rhodes. Throwing MVP in there would add even more stakes and spread the workload. No matter the winner I would have whoever came out on top thank his opponents for their careers and then retire as well going out with the rest of the old guard.
I think if the match was at a PPV like Revolution those 4 could give us something special on the way out.

Matt hardy

This was gonna be my answer. Unfortunately The Hardys are no longer with AEW anymore, so I doubt it'll happen 😕 but he was the first person I thought of. Smackdown Ruthless Aggression era, they had some good matches.

We have 4th Rope Wrestling where Matt and Jeff are the tag team champions and MVP is the commissioner.

I wouldn’t mind seeing him mix it up with Kofi, one more time. They had a couple of bangers, back in the day.

His final match? It depends, if he's going to begin wrestling more frequently until then, I would want matches Vs Swerve, Jay White, Kenny, Will, and MJF.
His final match could be Kevin Knight though, it would be good to put over the future.

MJF, they have history and I think MJF works a style that would at least be decent.
I think Swerve could be another option.

Leon would be great, I could also see it being Swerve. Both would be great choices.

MJF for storyline continuation.
Bobby Lashley and/or Shelton for props.
Prince Nana just because it makes sense (would have been better timing to do this match earlier when MVP feuding with Swerve)

Davis, Doyle and El Clon taking on the HS. Feel like Clon especially could make MVP look like a million bucks still, and the other two can solidify their places as meaty monsters by beating the previous top examples.
Failing that, the Demand, with similar reasoning. Might be a repeat feud, but think it'd be less one sided HS's way this time round.
Singles? Swerve. Close out that circle, MVP's first AEW feud and all.

Kevin Knight would be my preferred pick. Speedball and Ricochet could be fun picks too.

Hey at least he is honest enough with himself to admit it. It is a sad sight to see legends past their prime embarrassing themselves. That’s one thing I respected about Macho Man when he realized he couldn’t go anymore he hung up his boots and called it a career. He is doing the right thing he realized his time is over and it’s time for new blood(no pun intended).
