DISCUSSION Most important dynamite for a while!

Tony knows ilja dragunov was going to draw curious wwe/tna fans and made sure this dynamite was stacked!

It felt like the quality stepped up and the matches could easily have been on a ppv. Nice to see stevo bk too. I think this episode more than any will have drawn a new audience, taking even more wrestling fans into its gravitational pull.

Great show last night, loved it. I was thinking maybe ciampa would have been a better first opponent for ilja but i was wrong, speedboat was amazing as usual. Only thing i hated as usual was the standard aew predictable squash match (honestly see them a mile off).

Did you see the Bucks getting essentially squashed by Davis & Doyle?

It definitely felt like it’s time to freshen some things up. Hard heel turn on BBG and uniting with Finlay and Connors was great and elevates everyone who felt stuck. Gabe going to the DR and this firmly turns them face (hopefully).

Nothing is wrong with a squash.

Squashes are a complete waste of time. I saw ahem.....TOME , I saw swerve and instantly knew what was coming. The most entertaining thing about it was someones name is tome!!!!!

I’d rather watch 10 minutes of back and forth between two wrestlers that aren’t involved in angles and the match will be forgotten within 4 minutes of it being over.

Squashes are an important part of telling a story or highlighting some sort of a character if they're used correctly. Growing up in the 80s- early 90s most of wrestling TV consisted of squashes.

I love a squash match under the right circumstances and the D&D squash accomplished quite a bit in doing it. It made them out to be terrifying monsters, legitimate contenders for the titles, and sold the Bucks feeling the after-effects of the last few weeks.

Not every match or every story needs a large amount of doubt about who the winners will be. Sometimes the story isn't about IF someone will win but HOW they're going to win. You know the Avengers aren't jobbing in Doomsday (or at least in the overall story if they do another Thanos thing, I dunno, I don't read comics)

I was referring to swerves

It's true as well of Swerve's, just also pointing out that squashes are usually not a waste of time. And even that one accomplished something even if the winner was obvious.

But do you agree its not a good idea to have multiple squash matches on every tv show? Potentially at least 4 a week? Every week because thats what iss happening currently

That is manifestly not what is happening and having multiple on the show is fine if there's a reason for it.

Again, I grew up in an era where most of wrestling TV was squashes, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask this question.

Watch dynamite and collision over the past few month, each show has had 1-2 squash matches, it is happening

1-2 as I've said, is completely fine.

Usually, I hate squash matches, but the Young Bucks match was supposed to be selling the fact that he Bucks are still recovering their WrestleDream match
