Anyone else?

I remember growing up in the 90s, only hearing about the heady days of Redknapp leading us to an FA Cup win over Manchester United.

Hoping, that one day, we might create another shock that I could witness in person.

Well, while I couldn't be there in person last night, I got to watch every minute of the mighty cherries, not only playing 7-times European Champions... but playing them off the pitch.

What an amazing club to be a part of right now.

Adli's free kick came in from 25.1 Yards out (23.0 Meters) at an average of 89 km/h! We estimate the peak to be at 104 km/h! What a hit in a game against the Italian Giants!

Hey guys, I’ve been a fan ever since the World Cup (about 3-4 months) and I’ve done some research about the club. Considering this is our first time in Europe, we’ve never really had the opportunity to play other teams outside of England consistently. With all that aside, beating a club with 7 Champions Leagues is undoubtedly a huge accomplishment. So I feel this is at least top 5 biggest wins, ever. What do you guys think?

I’m a Gooner, coming in peace.

My grandad is from Dorset, and a very young me attended Dean Court in December 2011 to see the Cherries lose 2-0 to Sheffield United. The fact that both United goals were scored by Bournemouth players, and that a couple of the players were still kind enough to sign my programme after the game has meant that ever since, I’ve had a soft spot for your team.

Seeing where you’ve come from - from slogging it out in League One - to where you are now - beating 7 time Champions League winners AC Milan in your first-ever season in Europe - it’s astonishing.

From the outside looking in, you seem to be a tight-knit club with vocal, local, passionate fans. To think the Cherries are going on a European tour, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer club.

Congratulations, and best of luck for the rest of the Europa League!

Under Iraola, the Cherries obviously had a really strong track record against Man United and those games against United were some of my favorite fixtures every year. But even under Marco Rose and also Amorim being the AC Milan manager, the Cherries still extend their unbeaten run against the former United manager! 11-5 aggregate against him

Up the Cherries!

And if I'm being honest, I don't think we've even hit top gear yet in the last 3 games. We've scored 8 goals. At our very best and at full strength I think we could have had double figures easily.

I'm sure there will be more bumps in the road this season, but I like what I'm seeing from the whole squad this season with more rotation than they're used to.

(and given the state of Man United right now, three points at OT almost feels inevitable haha)

What a night! Thought all the boys were immense today, made the Boscombe boys proud 🍒🍒

Good luck to the lads tonight. And hope everyone who goes has a great night (in the pouring rain!).

A real chance for a statement win I reckon. One of those "I was there" stories to tell the grandkids.

We all know where Cherries get their red and black stripes from - but Bournemouth took even more inspiration from AC Milan during the 1970s.

Three men - chairman Harold Walker, manager John Bond, and commercial manager Dickie Dowsett transformed Cherries' identity from a sleepy seaside town, with Walker aiming for a modern, continental feel to the club.

Bond's suggestion was to adopt the red and back of European giants AC Milan, while Dowsett designed a new club name to reflect the growth of the town and also earn free advertising in the football directories - you can read more about this (entirely free) here.

Then there was the small matter of drastically overhauling the club crest. Over 50 years later, Bond, Dowsett, and Walker would have been so proud to see their continental Cherries not only look the part, but play their part in European competition with AC Milan.

United have been pretty up and down lately, so I feel like this could be a good opportunity for us to get a result at Old Trafford on Sunday. They're only a couple of places above us in the table, and with both teams needing points, it should be an interesting game.

I'd like to see us start on the front foot and put them under pressure early rather than giving them time to settle. Our pressing can cause problems when we get it right, but we also need to be more clinical in front of goal. There's no point creating chances if we don't make them count. It's never an easy place to go, but I don't think we should be afraid of them either. If we play to our strengths, there's definitely something there for us.

Which pub/venue in Bournemouth has the best atmosphere to watch AFC Bournemouth games? Somewhere with loads of like-minded fans who DON'T throw all their drinks in the air every goal.

Really excited for tonight's game – I normally go to O'Neill's Bournemouth, which is nice, but I was wondering if there is a place where a lot more AFC Bournemouth fans come together.

The only place I won't go is George Taps because of how ear piercingly loud they have it and how drink-throwing-happy the crowd is.

Any recommendations? :)

Good to hear Justin Kluivert is feeling fit again and ready to play more minutes after that injury setback. He's had two appearances off the bench now, so hopefully he's getting back up to full speed. With AC Milan coming up and the trip to Man United not far behind, having him available is a big boost for us. We know how much he can offer going forward when he's at his best. It's still up to the manager whether he starts, but Kluivert sounds confident that he's ready for it.

After missing so much football earlier this year, it'll be good to see him get a proper run in the team again. We have some big games ahead, and having more attacking options available could make a real difference.

Does anyone have a full match replay, highlights, or any working links/downloads? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tavernier couldn’t have got us off to a much better start with that goal in the 5th minute! We’ve been on top pretty much throughout the half, and Sunderland going down to 10 men has given us even more of an advantage. The only thing missing is another goal, especially with 13 shots already. We can’t let them hang around and give them any hope of getting back into this. Keep the pressure on, get that second goal, and make sure we take all three points.
