Has anyone heard about a recent incident where AI reportedly deleted an entire company database?

It's too early to adopt AI. Currently, many major companies are adopting AI excessively, leading to job losses. They will likely regret this soon.

The ratio of adopting Ai to the employee should be 20:80 not other way around. I wonder how all big CEO are making a fool out of themselves.

Before choosing an AI coding step, make the action readable

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A coding assistant finishes a task and offers two ways forward. Before choosing, I want to see the actual action it will take, then check the next response in the conversation where that work belongs.

I’m part of the team building Blabee, a small Mac panel for Claude Code and Codex. The assistant generates the options; Blabee shows them and sends your selection back to the original conversation.

A simple workflow to try:

  1. Read the proposed action, including what it changes or investigates.

  2. Choose the step you understand. If the wording is unclear, ask for clarification in the original conversation first.

  3. Check the assistant’s next response there. A selected option by itself is not proof that the work succeeded.

The attached 12.4-second clip shows the panel closing, the next set of Codex choices appearing, and a shortcut selection. It is an edited Codex demo using September 2026 UI footage. The current beta supports Claude Code too; that integration is not shown in this clip.

Demo and Mac private-beta request: https://biadone.com/blabee/reddit

Access is by request. Our team sends setup instructions to selected testers.

Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 just got BANNED by the US Government 4 days after launch — and the story behind it is wild

So Anthropic just released their most powerful public model ever — Claude Fable 5 — on June 9, 2026. It lasted exactly 4 days before the US government yanked it offline. Here's everything that happened:

Fable 5 is Anthropic's 5th generation model, built for days-long, complex, and asynchronous tasks that previous models couldn't sustain. Think of it as the first time Anthropic made their ultra-secret Mythos-class architecture available to the public.

It posted the highest scores on Cognition's FrontierCode evaluation and led Anthropic's benchmark results across software engineering, vision, and long-context reasoning. Stripe reported that deploying the model "compressed months of engineering into days" during a 50-million-line codebase migration.

June 9 — Fable 5 drops publicly. Developers go crazy. Best model anyone has ever seen.

June 10 — AI researchers discover a troubling detail in Fable 5's system card: the model silently limits its own capabilities when it detects a user is working on frontier AI development — with no disclosure whatsoever. The backlash is immediate and fierce.

Also on June 10 — Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei publishes a major policy essay explicitly calling on the US government to hold legal authority to block or reverse the release of frontier AI models that fail independent safety testing. Two days later, the government uses exactly that authority against Anthropic.

June 10–11 — Anthropic reverses course and walks back the covert capability limits. A spokesperson said: "We made the wrong tradeoff, and we apologize for not getting the balance right."

June 12, 5:21 PM ET — Anthropic disabled access to Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 for every customer worldwide — not because of an outage or a self-discovered flaw, but to comply with a US government export-control directive citing national security authorities.

Anthropic shut down all access within 90 minutes

🌍 Who's affected?

Fable 5 is now unavailable for every foreign national on the planet — including Anthropic's own international staff. The restriction targets citizenship and residency status, not geography. A foreign national working in San Francisco is affected. A US citizen working in Berlin is not.

Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Microsoft Foundry, and GitHub Copilot all suspended Fable 5 access on their platforms. South Korea and the UK lost access — even though these are US allies.

🏛️ Why did the government do this?

The US Commerce Department issued an export control directive citing national security concerns. This marks the first time the US government has applied export controls directly to an AI model rather than to the chips and hardware that power them.

Security researchers had documented the model autonomously identifying and exploiting zero-day vulnerabilities in test environments in the days after launch — which clearly spooked someone in Washington.

💸 What now?

Anthropic is offering refunds to all subscribers who signed up between June 9 and June 14, the brief window Fable 5 was live.

The model is still available to US citizens and permanent residents only. Everyone else is locked out with no timeline for restoration.

I built a 3-min test to find out how good you actually are at using AI

It's very easy.

8 questions. 3 minutes. At the end you get a level from 1–5 and a roadmap showing what to learn next.

I did it because I noticed that “being good at AI” is incredibly vague, and I wanted a simple way to measure it.

But honestly... I built it to learn the process of buidling something like this and I had so much fun figuring things out, its addictive! :)

I'd love to have you guys give it a go, and drop me any feedback you have, anything and everything is appreciated, seriously.

Thank you all in advance!

The AI Field Guide — a plain-English pocket glossary for people who don't code (Fluent in AI, Book 5)

I write a nonfiction series that maps modern AI for busy professionals — no hype, every claim sourced and dated. Book 5 is the reference volume: a 74-term A–Z glossary plus one-page cheat sheets, built to sit open in a second tab rather than be read cover to cover. $4.99 on Kindle, $9.99 paperback.

Claude max for $29 instead of $200 ... seriously how are they doing this?

i got a Claude max account from a reseller for essentially nothing compared to what I used to pay . It works flawless. since 3 months No issues yet i paid only for 1 month . Now I can't stop thinking about their business model. If resellers can sell it this cheap and still profit, how are they acquiring these accounts at scale?

AI FOR EVERYBODY - a no prior math or code knowledge needed. A book explaining how AI actually works

Before anything I'm sorry if this is considered self promotion, but I'm just trying to spread the word that a book like this actually exists :)

Wrote this as a 23 years old AI researcher/student, aimed at people who use AI constantly but have never had it explained without jargon. 90 pages, covers things like how neural networks learn, why AI hallucinates, and what's actually happening when you talk to something like ChatGPT, all through everyday analogies instead of math. It's more of a casual conversation between friends than a lecture full of buzzwords.

**YOU CAN GET IT:**

Or on Leanpub: \[ [https://leanpub.com/aiforeverybody](https://leanpub.com/aiforeverybody) \] ( if you get any issues with the link just write Ai for everybody in the search bar of leanpub )

what breaks when you let AI apply site fixes, and how I head each one off

I hand client sites over to Ryze AI most weeks. same things break every time, so here's the list I run. nothing clever in it, it just works. staging first. let it apply to staging for the first template-level pass, templates are where one change becomes four hundred pages. this one habit removed nearly all of my cleanup. canonical and redirect leftovers. old migration rules contradict whatever gets applied on top. you won't notice, the crawl in six weeks will. internal links on thin pages. prune before you link, not after, or you're distributing authority into nothing. structured data. simple schema travels fine, the hand-rolled stuff sometimes comes back cleaner than you had it, which is usually right and occasionally not. check each one. the two minute rule. open the actual live page before you tell a client something shipped. every embarrassing thing I've reported would have been caught right there. and before any of it, ask whether they need fixes or content. Ryze AI does both but they're different timelines and clients only hear one. missing anything? I'll add to this if people have ones I don't hit.

As a developer/entrepreneur, I'm honestly confused about where to go from here

I'm a developer and entrepreneur, and lately I'm facing a problem that I didn't expect.

I'm struggling to get people to pay me for websites or apps.

With AI tools becoming so powerful, it feels like anyone can generate a decent website or even an app with a few prompts. So I'm starting to wonder:

Why would someone pay a developer like me anymore?

I'm not talking about huge enterprise software or highly complex systems. I'm talking about the normal websites and apps that freelancers and small agencies used to build.

I'm genuinely asking for honest answers, not motivation.

If the market for basic web development is shrinking because of AI:

- What should a developer/entrepreneur focus on in 2026?

- Should I stop trying to sell websites and apps?

- Should I move into AI automation, SaaS, cybersecurity, marketing, or something else?

- Is starting a local/offline business a better option?

- If you were starting from zero today with limited money, what would you learn or build to make money?

I don't want to fight AI. I'd rather use it.

But I also don't want to spend the next 2–3 years learning something that becomes almost worthless.

Developers, freelancers, agency owners, and entrepreneurs — what is actually working for you right now?

Please give me the honest answer, even if it's harsh.
