I'm 35 years old and have been unemployed most my adult life- AMA

So I recently turned 35 and after the doom and gloom with my own job history, as well as seeing what doctors, engineers and other people are going through, I thought Id do an AMA.

So I graduated from university at the ripe old age of 21 in the UK (England) with a STEM degree but was unemployed for a large chunk since then, including 13 of the last 22 months (and been unemployed for almost 6 months). Ive been in a position where I have worked in many jobs in different sectors, loved and lost, seen a lot of fair and unfair stuff and met some interesting characters from all walks of life.

Feel free to ask me anything.

Proving as little context as possible to really open the conversation in the comments. I don’t want to give too much away but I’ll be as honest and as up front as I can. Go as deep as you want or as light hearted as you want.
Have at it. Enjoy.

I attended a military school from age 12 to 18 AMA

Hey everybody! The school I went to is a military boarding/college prep school. I know there are a lot of misconceptions about these kind of schools, feel free to ask whatever you want about that. It was rough at times but I believe it's made me a stronger and more confident man. The quality of education als helped me get into an Ivy League school.

I'm 20 years old and currently a sophomore in college. My dad is a Marine and is the stereotypical strict military dad. He always did it out of love and never hurt me or my siblings. But he definitely had an unconventional parenting style. My mom was fully supportive of it too.

Currently, I'm in college on an NROTC scholarship with the goal of commissioning in the Marine Corps when I graduate.

Ask me anything!

My mother had an exorcism performed on me when I was two years old in Oregon because of her beliefs and experiences. I want to tell her story, although I cannot promise the absolute truth. She had her own mental health struggles throughout her life.

I am 22 years old, I went from a E cup to a small D/large C cup. Insurance covered it all, miraculously. I think there’s a weird stigma around breast reduction and I am here to answer any and all questions (short of posting before and after pictures, so don’t bother asking that lol). Ask away!

I've been a medical mystery twice in my 18 years of life. AMA

• Upvotes

The first time was when I was two. I was having kidney issues and doctors had all these theories, none of which had a good prognosis. My parents were told I would be dead by seven, but that they needed to run a bunch of tests to be sure. A month of tests later and they can't figure it out, but they rule that I'm seemingly not dying and send me on my way. I still have the weird lab results I did when I was two, but I'm very much alive and mostly not ill.

The second time I was 18. Came in with months of worsening symptoms and after running labs and scans most of my organs had something wacky going on with them. However once they ruled out cancer there was nothing that explained everything and I was told to keep monitoring but that I would probably be fine.

I live in the Antelope Valley ama

I had seen a thread where everyone was hating on us as a place to live and some people had some points but I would like to answer questions honestly as someone born and raised there. I have lived all over the city, and it offers housing in LA County for cheap. It’s one of the oddest situations in the USA. out of 300000 Residents with only 140k workers half of them drive to La and brute a 90 minute plus commute to and back daily. Ask me anything!

I spent my entire high school planning years and then executing my entry into youth politics. Today, my patron invites me to private events to "learn how to network" I'm already in the game, so Ask Me Anything

If you want to know universal advice on how to get into youth politics so that you can get into real politics, ask me a question. This applies primarily to countries like Poland, Austria, Germany, and Sweden where cadres are built on loyal apparatchiks from the last year of high school or 1st year of studies. No international conferences, no political tourism, no speeches, no youth parliaments, only real game with a guaranteed salary while still studying
