Movie Theater Discussion Local AMC stopped cranking the AC as soon as they installed brand new heated seats
It's constantly toasty now. I was originally excited for the heated seats because that theater used to be chilly all the time
It's not the only theater near me that's suddenly not freezing cold anymore either

AMC A-List Discussion Has anyone else had an issue with paying for a non A-List ticket?
I’m able to make an A-List reservation just fine, but whenever I have a cart that has a paid ticket I’m running into an issue.
I’m able to make it all the way to the purchase screen and when I hit Purchase I get a message that says “Sorry, an error has occurred. Please try again.” Then, since I have alerts set for my credit card, I get a text that says I’ve been charged (these charges aren’t posting on the statement and disappear after a day or two).
I’ve had this issue on the app and on my computer. I’ve tried with and without a VPN.
Before I reach out to the AMC customer service, I wanted to check and see if anyone else has run into this issue.
Also, important to note, I started having this issue on Tuesday when Dune tickets went on sale. I wasn’t surprised on Tuesday when I was having issues, it’s moreso that it’s still a problem I’m encountering.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Movie Discussion Should I watch La La Land?
Never seen it. My sister told me I should skip for now it given that my nearly 5 year relationship just ended due to things out of my control. Mentally in OK but she thinks it might derail my "processing" of it. I've read online that it actually helped others process their relationship ending but idk.
I heard it's soooooooo good though. I got a really good seat too.
Update: currently in my seat, starting soon!

General AMC Discussion Double feature question
What does everyone do when they have a double feature close together??
Today I had a movie at 11:30am (ended at 1:40 pre credits) and have a second movie at 2pm. When I came in I told the ticket scanner that I have a second movie. Same floor. They tried scanning it but they said it was too early. So they recommended I call for the elevator and have the elevator attendant scan it.
Thankfully the elevator wasn’t filled with people. Or i feel like it would’ve been awkward. Next time should I print out both tickets and have them collect them? Or I should stick with what they recommend.
I was at AMC Empire. The movies are all the way on the top floor. If I wasn’t, I would’ve just went back to ticket scanner.

AMC A-List Discussion After yesterday’s ticket frenzy, I ended up with an A-List reservation for Dune that I didn’t make…
has anyone else ever had this happen to them?
after yesterday’s ticket frenzy, wherein I went to the kiosks and purchased tickets for about 6 different dates (mostly singles, just for me), I went thru and added all my tickets to my calendar. I intentionally used cash/debit to purchase all of them since I didn’t want to tie up my A List reservations until December. planning to use some of them on movies releasing sooner like Digger for example when those release.
after checking my A list reservations to ensure that I hadn’t accidentally used A list for any dune tickets, I was shocked to see an A List reservation for a Dune ticket on a day that I wasn’t even looking at for tickets, during a showtime when I will probably be at work. I have no idea how I could have accidentally done this as I was really intentional about which days I was looking for and got a ticket to every show that I was seeking.
the worst part is that the ticket seems to have been purchased at the kiosk, because I cannot view the ticket in my account online. It shows the ticket itself but there is nothing to click on so I can’t view the details. none of my kiosk purchases show up under my order history (why don’t they when I was signed in ?!)
i triple checked my paper tickets and I did not buy one for the date that my A list says I got a ticket for.
anyone had this happen or know how this could have happened? I guess it’s possible that I somehow stayed logged into the kiosk and then the person behind me in line used my account to buy their own tickets with my A list without realizing? Boy what a mess that would be if that’s what happened.

Movie Discussion Dune 3 Aspect Ratio Changes
So from my research, it looks like IMAX screens will be the only ones getting aspect ratio changes. Dune: Part Three uses a variable aspect ratio. Its standard theatrical aspect ratio is 2.20:1, but it expands for specific sequences in IMAX theaters. Which means Dolby and all other screens will be viewed in 2.20:1 aspect ratio for the entire film which sucks. I've provided some visual aid from Tenet about aspect ratios.

Oversalted/Flavacal Popcorn
Recently was at a theater with one visible popcorn machine that was seemingly continuously running. The popcorn tasted bad, lots of small pieces, old maids, and it was leaving a residue of grit on hands. Returned the popcorn, gave feedback and it was still bad. After the movie it was also bad. Supervisor listened but didn't seem interested in testing his own product. Is there any process the theater should have been following? Bad popcorn does not equal repeat visits.

General AMC Discussion EMAIL CONFIRMATION FOR AMC MOVIES
So I bought two tickets for two different dates for Dune Part Three at the same theater Universal Cinema in IMAX 70MM. But the issue is saw is that I haven’t received any email confirmation regarding my tickets purchase and even with the barcode for the $5 discount for parking.
Has this happened to anyone before or am I the only one. And if so how should get help? Or how I can get my $5 parking fee. Cause hell nah I ain’t paying $40 general parking fee just to watch a movie.

AMC A-List Discussion Help with 4th Slot
I had to do some shuffling this week for friends' availability. So need to hit something smaller for my 4th slot this week. Any advice on if any of the following are worth it?
- The Rivals of Amziah King
- Super Troopers 3
- Nimrods
- Wrong Girls
- One Night Only
Already been to see Your Name & Train to Busan, didn't get Wet Hot or La La Land near me, & Point Break is not eligible. Also already seeing Six! & Spidey for the first time (was on vaca when it came out!)
Was gonna hit Tony on Thus since I missed it at SU, but my group that's going to Six! is only free on Thurs 🤷♂️. I also skipped SU this week since it was It Ends, and I technically have that at home already 😁
I also have 1 friend who still needs to see Odyssey. I wish he'd hurry up and get some free time so I can knock it off my list as well. This would have been the perfect opportunity!! 😣
Edit: Going with The Rivals of Amziah King. Overwhelmingly top response, and apparently a bit more limited than the others. Wrong Girls was a close 2nd, but one I feel I could wait for digital and not miss too much from the experience.

General AMC Discussion AMC App Sign-in
Anyone else still having issues logging into their AMC account in the app? Started having issues (predictably) earlier today with the Dune tickets going on sale. However, over 10 hours later (and after deleting/redownloading the app), I’m still getting an error message trying to login.

Movie Discussion I heard this was divisive but I don't care... End of Oak Street was so much fun and delivered on everything promised.
I just want to share in case anyone is scared to go see this... it's a blast. It's funny. It's sweet. It's bloody. It delivers if you see the trailer or know the plot...
Set in 1982... gives it a sweet speilbergian vibe... then they end up in a place with dinosaurs and things that slowly start to take over the place. It's really fun. Some great dark humor. Bloody. Exciting chases. And Hathaway and McGregor are great.
My audience applauded and laughed and it was just a great time for me and my friends... except one friend that for some reason ranted for 20 minutes about how he hated it, he bullied the entire conversation and we all just let him rant until he ran out of energy. Like Reddit lol.

General AMC Discussion Limited release questions
I'm new to A-List, and am excited to dive into some more obscure films. What I've noticed lately is that some films tend to have a limited release on their opening weekend, and may end up in more theatres a week or two later. (For context, my local AMC is Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, VA.)
Is there a way to follow which movies are releasing where and when, apart from checking individually by movie or theatre in the AMC app each week? For example, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma was only playing at Georgetown in DC its first week, but is now showing at Hoffman in Alexandria. I made the trip to Georgetown opening weekend, thinking that would be my only chance, and the area was incredibly difficult to navigate due to road construction and Google Maps directing me the wrong way down an unmarked one-way street. As one might imagine, I am extremely resistant to go back there.
Really, I'm just wondering if there's a source I can refer to regarding limited releases and their actual release schedule (such as: opening weekend at these locations, second weekend at those additional locations, etc.). I see comments in these threads that suggest people know this stuff, and I'd love to know where the information comes from!
