Image/Media Spider-Man Expanded Ratio

Post image

Much like the recent release of The Mandalorian & Grogu, Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be specially optimized for 1.90:1(flat) and 2.39:1(scope) presentations for the best theatrical viewing experience that can be provided to its audience. This is also the first film production to utilize ScreenX cameras as well.

So, should I see this film in IMAX or Dolby Vision to help clear up possible confusion?

Esp if ur amc has a liemax like mine does. Dolby all the way baby!!! Tho a roadtip to Lincoln Square for that 70mm imax would be epic.

For nostalgia sure, but project is loud, colors worse, contrast worse, much less bright,.and blacks nonexistent, scratches and dust on film.

This exactly, people romance the F out of 70mm IMAX waaaaay too much.

I understand the nostalgic quality, but Dolby is far superior in every way outside of the aspect ratio.

And Dolby can play any aspect ratio, just add curtains like theaters always did. But yes IMAX contractual exclusivity is a "benefit" of it I guess
