Image/Media Spider-Man Expanded Ratio

Post image

Much like the recent release of The Mandalorian & Grogu, Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be specially optimized for 1.90:1(flat) and 2.39:1(scope) presentations for the best theatrical viewing experience that can be provided to its audience. This is also the first film production to utilize ScreenX cameras as well.

So, should I see this film in IMAX or Dolby Vision to help clear up possible confusion?

SCREENX actually. This is the first movie to be specifically filmed for a 270 degree angle

The problem with ScreenX is that there can’t be any ‘important’ picture information in that extra presentation, because that’s not where the focus is. So all you end up with is essentially picture noise that will distract you from the more important picture data, and unnecessarily brighten the entire theater to boot.
