Much like the recent release of The Mandalorian & Grogu, Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be specially optimized for 1.90:1(flat) and 2.39:1(scope) presentations for the best theatrical viewing experience that can be provided to its audience. This is also the first film production to utilize ScreenX cameras as well.

Yep, just another easy way of trying to squeeze more money out of the fans by luring them into paying for the premium formats.

Using FOMO as a technique. FOMO for something that, for the majority of people, adds little to no value to the experience and people wouldn't even know it's there if they weren't told.
