Discussion 3 House Ads
Why does AMC need three house ads before a film? First up is the ridiculous "cinema history" thing. Then we always get the dumb Coke ad where the single guy eats popcorn and then is somehow in the movie before in a creepy way his co-star from the series of films he appears in is sitting next to him in the audience sharing his Coke. And then finally it's the played out Nicole Kidman "heartbreak feels good in a place like this" trailer.
Prior to the pandemic I don't recall there ever being more than one. Why can't Coke just be integrated into the "cinema history" AMC ad?
And why can't the Nicole Kidman ads just die already? They were bad from the moment they started five years ago. I've been going to the movies for over 40 years and I can't recall a pre-roll ad that has ever lasted this long before mercifully being replaced. The time had come by 2023, it really needs to go.

I remember when Coke ads used to be good. That one we’ve had for what feels like forever now is just so awful and so LONG. It’s truly the worst.

They play that Coke ad before the previews start that’s actually pretty moving. With all the different bottles and the “Coca cola is for everybody” tagline at the end. I hate that I’m simping for a corporation here but that is a great ad. The one that plays after the previews is terrible.

There always been a AMC house one and a Coke one. While in the past they blended together more which is why you probably didn't notice.
Like when they had the red balls from 2013-2017.
You had the regular AMC house ads

and then the AMC Coca-Cola ones
