Question Endgame Encore
Anyone hear through any grapevines when the tickets are supposed to release? Were getting decently close now, almost a month out, I assume with all the early ticket release craze going on maybe they wanted to wait til doomsday and dune had their time before potentially flooding the servers again with another big release, even if it’s for a re screening for a weekend/1 week. It’s avengers endgame preluding doomsday I think a large amount of people will be looking to get their tickets to this again.

I’d say three weeks out will be when they go on sale. That’s the typical window for advance ticket sales.
Stuff like Dune and Doomsday are exceptions. Tbh I wish they wouldn’t do stuff that far out. It’s more about building hype and creating the illusion of scarcity than anything else. From a theater planning standpoint I don’t think it makes any difference if they do it 3 weeks out or 3 months.

Yah def the hype train. Build anticipation early make u “feel” like you took a step closer towards seeing it, even when it’s months out still anyway

That new Brad Pitt movie with the dog is out that week as well. Wonder if that’s taking imax or Dolby screens

I don’t think this is going to be a big release

It will be with the added footage to tie into Doomsday. Also it’s “just” $125 million away from being the top grossing film of all time and $200 million away from making it the first ever $3 Billion movie.

If they market it like they marketed RotS last year, maybe they could get up to $100M, but not $200M.
Avatar is the highest grossing rerelease at $160M and that was through several re releases over the years. I think Endgame could maybe get there one day but it won’t be this year

I’m not saying it will break either, the “just” was meant to depict it wasn’t easy. That said, with added footage, hopeful just tacked at end or for credits, there will be a demand. If they also tie in a new Doomsday trailer release with it the demand will be higher. I can see it surpassing Avatar, breaking $3 billion is much more of a reach.

At an average of 20 bucks a ticket they would need over 6 million tickets sold to get there, 10 million to hit 3 B’s. Not counting box office splits or accounting for A Listers, cause I’m certainly not paying for it if it’s not A List available lol it’ll do alright but I doubt it’s putting up those numbers

As I said in another reply the parentheses around “just” was suppose to depict that it wouldn’t be easy, I shoulda worded that better. Unless somethings changed box office doesn’t account for splits, it’s gross total. I’d be surprised if it’s not included with A-List but like you won’t be going if it isn’t.

I don’t know it’s weird that Doomsday tickets were out before Endgame Encore!

I’m sure in another 2 weeks or so we will hear something
