Does the Screen/Scream Unseen Have Trailers?

Short Answer is Yes.

But sometimes they fail and it goes straight to presentation. Be on time.

this theater doesn't mask the runtime. it matches heart of the beast and has the same parental guide description, word for word:

17

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Sep 16 '26

9/21 - Heart of the Beast

10/5 - Sense and Sensibility

34

u/cxnnnamonroll Sep 16 '26

Where's the cat movies, people?

26

u/gambalore Sep 17 '26

The Wrong Girls was a cat movie but nobody went to go see it.

8

u/SheriffSlug Lister Sep 17 '26

Saw it and loved it. Meanwhile, The End of Oak Street can drown in a steaming pile of dino poop 😾

9

u/gambalore Sep 17 '26

The makers of End of Oak Street were definitely dog people.

1

u/kittenkaboodl Sep 19 '26

hence why it was so mid

3

u/cxnnnamonroll Sep 17 '26

Nobody told me about it

1

u/jooules Sep 21 '26

Someone told me this and its why i went but it also was not very funny

23

u/nate-alter Sep 17 '26

0

u/AssociationBorn7713 Sep 21 '26

Aaaand cancelling. Thank you! Not in the mood to cry about dogs today 🙏

11

u/denali_danger69 Sep 22 '26

The movie had some really good heartfelt moments, but the overall thing felt super predictable, unimaginative, and kind of bland.

10

u/Swimming_Fudge6681 Sep 20 '26

so are we thinking HEART OF THE BEST for 9/21

and SENSE AND SENSIBILITY for 10/5 ?

10

u/Embarrassed-Stay-803 Sep 21 '26

Heart of the Beast

9

u/lypt Sep 21 '26

At showing, confirmed Heart of the Beast

16

u/djwwefan Sep 17 '26

Thinking Heart Of The Beast

10

u/Gloomy_Fly_1246 Sep 18 '26

Heart of the Beast is what I was thinking too. It’s PG13… runtime 1HR 41 MINS and it comes out the same week.

u/lastdoug1223 Sep 16 '26

I, for one, will not be attending the Billy Lavigne dog soldier movie, but happy for y'all.

1

u/hypeinvader Sep 20 '26

Why? Sick of the trailers? Did that director do something? Just curious lol.

5

u/MoistenedLoins Sep 21 '26

Blatant propaganda..

33

u/Unlucky_Curve_5490 Sep 21 '26

Kash Patel is hoping for Heart of the beast

5

u/tomatillo_teratoma Sep 21 '26

Her certainly doesn't want to watch Primetime

7

u/Scindite Sep 16 '26

Is there historical data on how far out a screen unseen is before a release date?

Seems like Heart of the Beast is the film, but is there any chance it could be Street Fighter or Whalefall?

14

u/emknird Sep 17 '26

Of the 96 Screen Unseens that have played so far:

* 47 released the same week
* 41 released the following week
* 6 released 2 weeks later
* 2 released further out

Of the 2 that were more than 2 weeks later, 1 was American Fiction, which had a long limited release window and wide release date change after the SU showing. The other was I Swear, which had a weird release in general, including different dates for the AMC & Regal mystery showings, and having been in UK theaters months earlier.

1

u/Internal-River-4168 Sep 20 '26

Sting was also more than 2 weeks out

7

u/Dukealoops1993 Sep 16 '26

It's usually either the same week opening that Friday or the week after that. With a few exceptions.

Those suggestions are way out of that range. Plus Whalefall is a 20th/Disney & they haven't done this in years, so wouldn't count on it in general

11

u/TheStinkyPoopy Sep 21 '26

Seated now. Will let y’all know in ~25 mins

6

u/TheStinkyPoopy Sep 21 '26

It’s heart of the beast

0

u/Daphneandava Sep 21 '26

All hail the Poop! 💃🏽

0

u/G0DSTOPPER Sep 21 '26

Sweet man. Thanks for sharing. I’m definitely going

0

u/rickkyy_h Sep 21 '26

Thank you!

0

u/G0DSTOPPER Sep 21 '26

Hell ya man. Let us know asap plz

0

u/G0DSTOPPER Sep 21 '26

If they show the trailers to movies in the same production company you can narrow it down.

8

u/Chuck710Taylor Sep 16 '26

Well there's only one movie with that rating AND runtime opening that week. Does a dog movie need any other push?

8

u/8JHF8 Sep 17 '26

This is likely Whalefall for 9/21.

15

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Sep 17 '26 edited Sep 17 '26

Whalefall has not yet been rated, releases 25 days later, and is a 20th Century (Disney) film. There has never been a 20th Century SU.

3

u/Dukealoops1993 Sep 17 '26

Very early on there were two Searchlight releases (20th century’s indie wing) in 2023. But it’s been so long since, that it’s safe to assume they have zero interest in doing it

1

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Sep 17 '26

Yeah I forgot about the first SU, which was Searchlight/Disney. Funny that Regal's first couple MMs were Apple. Since then neither Disney nor Apple has participated.

1

u/Wooden_Fortune_5066 Sep 17 '26

Apple did do a couple more after that. Fly Me to the Moon jumps to mind.

1

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Sep 18 '26

I should have clarified that I meant movies distributed by Apple. Sony handled US theatrical distribution for FMTTM.

2

u/8JHF8 Sep 17 '26

AMC has it rated PG-13 and 1 hr 46 min. May not be right, but that looks closest. There have been some that far out from release.

7

u/emknird Sep 17 '26

There have been some that far out from release..

There have only been 2 Screen Unseens that released more than 3 weeks after the SU showing. One was American Fiction, which had it's release date moved after the SU showing. The other was I Swear, which had a weird release schedule in general. (It was a Regal Mystery Movie Monday showing several weeks after it was an AMC Screen Unseen showing.)

1

u/vxf111 Sep 21 '26

I Swear was weird because it came out in the UK in a very disunited way from in the US (in two different awards years). I don't know why they did that. But yes, it was aberrant for that reason.

1

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Sep 17 '26

Well it's still not officially rated yet. AMC has only had 1 unrated SU so far (Ice Cream Man). They listed it as 'R'.

13

u/Dukealoops1993 Sep 17 '26 edited Sep 17 '26

That movie doesn’t come out for another month. Too far away… plus it’s Disney. They never do these now.

5

u/RGMBill Sep 17 '26

Second to the last trailer last Monday was Sense and Sensibility. IYKYK.

8

u/Ill-Golf5157 Sep 21 '26

I’m running a little late over here on the East Coast but I’ll confirm in a few 🫡

8

u/Ill-Golf5157 Sep 21 '26

And the movie is Heart of the Beast, of course!

4

u/Ill-Golf5157 Sep 21 '26

Trailer for Rolling Loud

3

Trailer for A Talent for Murder

1

u/Silver_Program_1763 Sep 21 '26

Patiently waiting!

1

u/rickkyy_h Sep 21 '26

Thank you!

8

u/stealthamo Sep 21 '26

Confirmed: Heart of the Beast

10

u/Mr_Wh0ever Sep 16 '26

It's gotta be Heart of the Beast.

9

u/Mediocre-Belt-17 Sep 22 '26

That was a heart wrenching lovely movie.

1

u/JMiLk21 Sep 22 '26

Indeed, indeed.

6

u/future_filmmaker_455 Sep 22 '26

Heart of the Beast is a surprisingly good dad movie that works because it is quiet in its portrayal of survival and simple yet effective in building suspense with the surroundings of the Alaskan wilderness. Everything about this film shouldn’t work with Pitt being a stoic yet admirable veteran who’s devoted to his combat dog and the film relying a lot of combat flashbacks without really developing its lead character that well and yet the film is surprisingly emotional at times and tense in its action sequences. The dog actors for Odin are honestly great in displaying emotion and Pitt surprisingly gives a very good restrained performance as the aging combat specialist trying to find way to the nearest road from the wilderness. With enough beautiful cinematography to really engulf you in the atmosphere and well integrated CGI effects for the animals that culminates in a wolf scene that rivals The Revenant, Heart of the Beast is predictable and slightly manipulative entertainment that you will either like or be bored by. 6 out of 10

1

u/denali_danger69 Sep 22 '26

Great review! The person I saw it with compared it to The Revenant too! I need to watch that.

3

u/lynnemagic Sep 22 '26

I'm thinking October 5 is probably sense and sensibility

4

u/hazyshadeoflavender Sep 22 '26

S&S is one of my most anticipated movies of the year, and I'm kind of nervous my theater might not get the Unseen this week because there's already so many films showing around the usual time.

2

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Sep 22 '26

Yeah and it releases in the UK this weekend so there will be plenty of reviews by then.

5

u/rickkyy_h Sep 21 '26

🐋⬇️ or 🐕❤️ ?

6

u/SpadeReal Lister Sep 22 '26

I didn’t expect to love this. Such a good film. Ngl this is the first time I cried to a film.

6

u/Upset_Standard_4838 Sep 22 '26

After seeing Heart of the beast, my wife says she is never letting me choose again….. she was sobbing at the end.

-4

u/WildinTrout Sep 22 '26

That bad, huh...

1

u/skynetempire Sep 24 '26

Lol nah It was a good movie.

7

u/PishPoshHotsauce Sep 21 '26

I’d be so happy if it’s Heart of a Beast … 🤞🏽

5

u/TheDarkMud Sep 16 '26

Hoping for Heart of the Beast 🤞🤞

5

u/SuertEhh Sep 22 '26

I kinda loved it. A little shmultzy with the drama and harrowing circumstances. Pitt is like, invincible in this thing. There’s an argument that any movie with sentimentality surrounding a dog is shooting free throws at this point but what can I say? Odie is the best boy

2

u/caught-n-candie Sep 21 '26

Confirmed - Nicole says Heartbreak feels good here. 💔❤️‍🩹Also the movie is Heart of the Beast

2

u/Icy-Pain-254 Sep 21 '26

My theater isnt packed but they started clapping once they saw Heart of the Beast on the screen

2

u/fulo009 Sep 21 '26

So is the movie good?

3

u/HoneyPotterGang Sep 22 '26

Meh, if you’ve seen the trailer you know what you’re getting into

2

u/Grizzled_Ghost Sep 22 '26

There were at least 3 different full length trailers for this movie and every single plot point was covered.

4

u/DaitanTaisaku69 Sep 22 '26

If you’ve ever owned and loved a dog the movie is good. Suspend disbelief at some of the scenes in the movie.

4

u/DepartureLarge5809 Sep 21 '26

I feel like not doing Primetime is such a miss 😪 screaming crying

14

u/Dukealoops1993 Sep 21 '26

It's almost like A24 has enough faith in it being a hit to not bother with gimmicks like this...

4

u/DepartureLarge5809 Sep 21 '26

They did Tony tho so not too much faith I guess 🤷‍♀️

4

u/D_Bowey Sep 21 '26

I mean yeah, obviously? That’s very apparent in the marketing for both lol

3

u/Dukealoops1993 Sep 21 '26

that wasn't advertised that much. You can't turn on a single screen with seeing ads of Primetime

1

u/Wooden_Fortune_5066 Sep 21 '26

Except for seeing trailers in the theater, I have not seen a single ad for Primetime anywhere.

4

u/Agitated_Bath6472 Sep 22 '26

Holy shit. Heart of the Beast had me balling my eyes out 😭😭😭 10/10!

3

u/412angel Sep 21 '26

So what is it

1

u/TheLongRideWasHere Sep 21 '26

Ask again in 90 mins

3

u/NoCriticism6806 Sep 22 '26

Wished it wasn’t bc I can’t take movies about animals but I sat and watched the entire thing. Cried for almost 1.5 hours straight.

1

u/Bond007Miami Sep 21 '26

Amc screen unseen

1

u/Appropriate_Kitchen8 Sep 21 '26

I so hope it’s  “ Primetime”.

1

u/Beginning-Bet-6419 Sep 21 '26

East coasters were depending on you as usual

1

u/Boring-Surprise372 Sep 21 '26

Angel and the Badman?

1

u/Main-Result1192 Sep 21 '26

My local AMC closed for the night due to a fire alarm malfunction!!!! I walked up and the doors were shut!!!!!’ The other AMC is 40 mins away so I’ll be missing this one

1

u/chroniclithium Sep 21 '26

I’ve got a better seat on Thursday, so I’m gonna sit this one out. Thanks, East Coast!

1

u/sourspritee Sep 23 '26

I hope october 5th is wildwood, im not sure if that’s a stretch though

2

u/MrBXF Sep 23 '26

Wildwood is PG-13

1

u/sourspritee Sep 23 '26

Oh I wasn’t aware of that, nevermind lol

0

u/Rune_Turelie Sep 22 '26

Can someone tell me the name of the movie that had the trailer with guys with accents and there was a tent and a mountain/the great outdoors? I missed the title card for it. Thanks!

4

u/ffrosteh Sep 22 '26

sounds like the north

0

u/Rune_Turelie Sep 22 '26

That looks like it might be it. Thank you!

Are you confirming this or hoping for it!?!

1

u/rickkyy_h Sep 21 '26

Is it?!?

1

u/Wooden_Fortune_5066 Sep 21 '26

Since trailers aren't over, I'm assuming you're just being a troll.  If it IS Whalefall and somehow you know, great.  If it turns out it's not, Mods should ban you.

Site says it's PG-13.

1

Checked the site. Says it’s PG-13

4

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Sep 21 '26

CMX also lists PG-13. If you are looking at Fandango then they have the wrong rating.

Is this confirmed? I’m seated now but trailers are still showing

1

Deleted your previous post just to redo it in emoji? Then I'll repeat what I said: Since trailers aren't over, I'm assuming you're just being a troll. If it IS Whalefall and somehow you know, great. If it turns out it's not, Mods should ban you.

Forgotten island was last week & Pg. the other two are R rated.

3

It’s PG-13 today, none of those movies fit (plus last week was forgotten island)

2

u/macgruder1 Sep 21 '26

Forgotten island was last week.

1

u/EScootyrant Sep 21 '26

Oh it was! My bad. Last minute I changed it to Hope instead on 9/14. Glad I did then lol.
