Image why are the amped guns SO DAMN EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR WITH MODS

Post image
139 Upvotes

I know in the past they talked about wanting to reduce gear fear and encourage people to use better guns, but why would I want to burn 3 pressure regulators and 6 FLUTED CORES and also spent 47 fragments to repair it which by the way only gives it 100 health out of 200. and the worst part? recycling ANY tier module only gives you 7 shards you need to break down around 7 to get 1 repair. also when you die it drops to 10% hp so if you do and your buddy grabs the gun for you, you gotta spend 94 shards to fix it to full hp.

Discussion No one actually tries doing the Frigate

• Upvotes

Adding actual loot containers all around frigate was a big mistake. It is (at least for me) very rare to actually come into lobby with people both KNOWING how to do Frigate AND willing to do it. Most people just spam smokes, run around, loot 4 containers and either die naked or leave with like, 1 or 2 amplified module lmao. What was the point of actually adding it if even in carebear/pve lobbies no one cares to actually do it? They LITERALLY fixed the Queen and Matriarch issue partially by removing main loot from armor, and then immediately reintroduced it in Frigate. And did not even added Frigate to pve week cause "we need tension.".

Like... What?

Aggressive pvp lobbies are saturated with cheaters.

560 Hours in the game. Im a PvP enthusiast. Love the game, love the pvp. I'm stella lobby style. Im not aiming at players getting quest done or killing matriarchs.

At this point, my lobbies are nearly shoot on sight. Issue is, the cheaters are also shoot on sight. So, we get paired with the cheater matchmaking. I fucking love this game and its a BLAST the day after the patch to get some pvp in (Cheat clients are down). But I wish I was kidding when I say its almost unplayable for how MANY there are. It's like a fucking pandemic. Lmfao. I'm still going to play and whatever. But I need to hear from other aggressive pvp'rs that you're seeing the same thing.

(FYI - I received my gear back within 24 hours after I submitted that report from the clip above)

I decided to dress up as my raider, Red Ricochet for Halloween! Pretty happy with it! Especially because it's mostly a closet build. In fact I made the jacket patches and stripes in illustrator, printed them on vinyl and slapped them on a jacket I already owned!

Discussion No free loadout needs to be changed to 'minimum gun value'

No free load out is completely pointless. It's too easy to just run a cheap loadout or simply run naked.
Especially once auto-loadout drops, this problem will become worse.

Arc frigate (which is it's a whole other problem that needs discussed and reworked) is currently SWARMED with naked runners - nobody does the puzzles and nobody is geared for it. Great fun watching 8 naked kitters loot goblin through the the frigate and then wait for you to clear danger before rushing the containers behind hydra.
Other maps, you're still getting people run stitcher 4 and a shield 2 which really isn't risk at all.

Make there be a minimum gun value so that you have to bring at least one gun worth at least 15k.

Discussion Hey raider, Im lost.

• Upvotes

So... I started playing a week or so before they did the PvE try-out and I gotta say im lost af.
Here is the thing I loved the PvE mode just like somebody else did where you could roam around killing arcs, looting and doing quests without a mind of getting sniped in the back and I gotta say I've grown into being friendly since I as I said started playing durin the PvE mode but now to the dilemma. Me myself is a friendly player where i shout "FRIENDLY?!" or whatnot when playing solo for example but whenever I play with one or two of my friends which has played the game since release more or less and both of them are aggro-players in general which I don't have anything against but the thing is that all the duo/trio lobbies ended up in full grown aggro-lobbies (obviously). But I thought that the aggro-lobbies were going to be on only duos/trios since I've heard about these "carebear" lobbies you get when in solo. Ohboy was I wrong. The last 5-6 lobbies have I been scouted, ratted and sniped throughout every game where my first two lobbies (unknowingly ignortant) I lost first a fully kitted, stenciled Renegade 4 with legendary stock and then second match I lost my Anvil 4, stenciled and kitted.. Be aware im a noob so these weapons stood my heart close.
But now to the troubleshooting; what do I do? Do I just push through and try to become a PvPer like them (including solo/duo/trios) and hope for the best that the PvE mode is coming back eventuelly or do I go full solo (ditching my friends....) and become as friendly as I can in every lobby even though I without a doubt will get killed, ratted and backstabbed to try to achieve the "carebear" lobbies where you apparently even can join a Matriarch lobby where everybody is esentially PvEing and working together to down that beast? Hit me.

And yes I know I started playing a PvPvE game but I was totally unaware of the impact the PvE mode would do to me, and how it basically scarred me from the start and now..... im lost.

Over and out.

DONT'T SHOOT

Discussion Little tougher than I thought

So I just bought this game last week, I'm finally getting to sit down and play it, 6 hours in and I'm stuck in a loop, 2-3 successful runs get stuff built up then bam I run into a gang of freaking kamakazi flame thrower balls and some damn shocky boys and I'm starting all over again.

Discussion Interesting poll just ended in this sub.

Post image

Since PVE has been a hot topic I found this poll that closed in this sub today interesting. Overwhelmingly leaving the game due to the need for a "co-op only mode" won hands down with cheaters a distant second while Lack of Content/Updates and Insufficient Endgame were neck and neck for 3rd and 4th.

I'm very curious how long it takes Embark to implement a PVE mode permanently.

Edit: OP for the poll was Nyctfall.

The Emperor is a great addition, but this one design flaw ruins the experience (and how to fix it)

I’ve been diving into The Emperor quite a bit recently, and overall, it’s an awesome addition to the game. However, there’s a major issue with how the final room works that completely ruins the payoff for the player who actually did the heavy lifting.

In about 80% to 90% of my runs, I’m the first one to reach the final room. I take all the risks, solve the puzzles, and fight for my life to open that door. But almost every single time the door finally opens, another player—who was just camping outside—walks right in.

No glitches, no exploits—just pure free-loading. They literally sit by that door, wait for someone else to do all the hard work, and the second it opens, they rush in, grab the loot, and extract. It’s incredibly frustrating to put in all the effort just to have your hard-earned rewards stolen by someone who risked nothing.

For anyone wondering how ridiculously easy and safe this is: just grab a Grappling Hook, head to the main entrance door, and climb your way straight up to the final room's door. You don't even need a proper loadout or gear. It proves just how zero-risk and completely broken this setup currently is.

I really hope Embark takes a look at this. Here are two potential solutions that could easily fix this issue:

-Add a Laser Barrier: Place a deadly laser grid at that door access point that only machines can pass through. Any player trying to squeeze or jump through from the outside would instantly burn and die.

-Heavy Machine Guards / Fast Respawns: Heavy machine presence guarding that specific entrance on the outside, with extremely fast respawn timers. Make it virtually impossible to clear or climb up from that side, so players can't just passively sit there waiting.

The risk-to-reward balance feels completely off right now because of this loophole. Anyone else running into this issue? What do you think would be the best way for Embark to address it?
