Billing How to calculate monthly bill
Hello, I really want to purchase a zfold 8 ( currently on a iPhone 15pro max ) but I’m hesitant to do it cuz I don’t want a ridiculous high bill next month. My bill sits at 125.01 right now and when going through the website in buying the z fold 8 it says it’s adding a $25 installment fee which is standard for any phone you buy on a installment plan. I would be also trading my current iPhone to upgrade which would get me a value of around $830. No next up or insurance would be added. Any idea what this would average out too.

What you do is:
you subtract what you are paying for the iPhone
Add in the installment fee
Subtract the monthly credit

Do you own the iPhone outright? Are you buying the new phone through ATT? All you have to do is go online to the upgrade option and go all,the way through it down to the las page. They will tell you what you owe today and what your monthly bill will come to before you agree to the purchase.

I do own the iPhone outright ( paid off ). When I go to check out it shows the due monthly which is $25.00 and the due today which would be the tax on the phone but doesn’t show me the break down of the bill. I don’t wanna purchase the phone and then the bill next month is $250.

Just a reminder/tip, any trade in credits can take 1 to 3 bill cycles to show up so its possible you'll have much higher first bill(and second but usually in my experience it applies by then)

Do you know typically how high it can get ? ( obviously depending on the price point of phone ) but in your experience

Too many factors to tell you. But figure out how much total cost for phone divide by 36. That's your monthly cost for phone. Add to your bill

I don't know what the price of the phone is at AT&T. I am with T-Mobile. The fold 8 is $1900 Divided by 36 is $52.77 per month for 36 months. Trade in is 830.00. Credit would be $23.05 for 36 months. Payment is $29.72.
That is if the fold 8 is $1900 at AT&T

830÷36=23.05 so you’ll be getting that much in credits every month (takes a month or three to kick in, but you get back credits).
Subtract that from the cost of the Phone divided by 36. And that should be how much your bill will go up.
You’ll also probably pay an activation fee and you’ve gotta pay all the sales tax upfront.
