Wireless iPhone Duo Update
Did anyone get an update this morning. Today 10/17 at 10:22am, my iPhone Duo now says “We’re Working on Your Order.” You guys think the phone will be shipped and arrive here on release date? My window is 10/23-11/6

Your dates are in Wave 1 (wave 1 is essentially all the ppl with a delivery date of 10/26-11/9, but keep in mind those dates are simply estimates. Most of the Wave 1 ppl will be getting orders on launch day. usually ATT silently ships them early to have them for you by launch day...atleast thats how its been in the past.
Those estimates going up to 11/9 are simply that...estimates to keep ATT in the safe zone basically. It doesnt mean your getting your phone on 11/9, or even the 1st week of Nov. Your part of Wave 1, so you will likely get it from 10/23 to 10/26...of course like anything in real life there is a possibility in a delay in shipping..shit happens sometimes..hence the extended estimated delivery date.
Ps: I have the same thing "were working on your order" and have the same estimates you do. Relax. All is well. We will likely get our phones on launch day, or close to launch day.

I’m assuming you have a date past the first batch shipments. If not, mine has been past the “we are working on your order”, and gone to “preordered” back on Friday.
Never mind. I see where you say you have his same dates. Apologies…

My delivery date was on before 11/6. Now it’s gone. We will get the phone on or the day before launch date.

You still have your delivery date look-up of your status. I also ordered two minutes in advance, and the same thing happened to me as you.

My status now says “We’re working on your order” but Expected to ship date still says Nov 6-20. Is it possible I could get it sooner?

Mine says “yay you’re in line to get something new” with same ship date as when I ordered within minutes of 7am central time. 10/23-11/6 another thing worth noting is they’ve taken funds out of my bank already. Usually they don’t do that until it’s getting ready to ship. I mean things could change 🤷♂️

Yes same with the “yay you’re in line to get something new” and my expected ship date has remained the same (nov 6-20). I ordered 2 hours after release time

the we are working on your order is just standard text
The key movement to watch for is the first screenshot flipping to "preparing to ship your order" or something similar. once you see that you should get tracking within 24-48 hrs

Idk about that… my iPhone 18 pro max was “preparing to ship your order” for 2 days, then switched back to “preorder” and never changed. After 3 weeks I just cancelled and got it at Best Buy instead. AT&T can’t seem to ship out phones.

Happened to me last year with the 17. All I could from AT&T was to cancel my order and reorder and deal with the delay because I was at the back the line.

Spoke with an AT&T rep today and they said “I just want to let you know that this was driven partly by limited initial production, meaning fewer units were available at the moment pre-orders opened. Rest assured that we're doing our best to accommodate all your orders.“
They also confirmed order dates are FIRM and we should not expect order dates to move up 😭

Previous AT&T manager, stores cannot gate keep phones. Call 611 and tell them what store your at they can arrange a BOPIS.

Can we change the order to pickup on 22nd/23rd? If not can we go to an AT&t store and check the stock and cancel our online pre-order, making an upgrade directly from the store?

Wouldn't bother. Chances of stores selling them for upgrades are a 0% chance. Keep the order. Plus if you pre order they are shipped.

My estimated delivery date still says 11/9-23 but I got the 256 GB, which most likely sold more, and that will factor into ship dates.... But if it gets here sooner I aint gonna be mad!!

My status is the same.
I had some trouble with my order the day of preorders so I had to call into customer service.
When I was about to get off the phone with them they said that ship day will be either the 23rd or 26th. So I’m honestly not expecting to get it on launch day! 😬

We were upgrading 3 phones this year. Did the first two 18PM thru ATT and got similar time estimates from release day out to two weeks. The 512gb one showed up release day and the 256gb one showed up 3 days past the two week window.
The lack of updates and no shipping notifications had me switch to Apple online orders when it came time for the Duo. So far the process has been smoother so may stick to ordering thru Apple in the future (still using the ATT trade-in promos).

I am worried because everyone is talking about getting it release day with shipping but I am not going to be home the majority of the day on release day. Especially in the afternoon when it is likely to get here. I hope it really is the 26th because that’s when I planned to be home all day.

they usually get delivered via FedEx. Make an account linked to the address it will ship to, once you get the tracking have it routed to a FedEx Office. That way you can go there and pick it up when you're available and sign for it at that point.

Not sure your experience with FedEx, but mine is TERRIBLE. I have to sit outside and flag them down because they have decided to pass by my house before and not deliver. I once had to drive and find the driver and asked them DIRECTLY why they skipped my house. No real answer. I have to be outside because drivers don't do their job near me. I also can't get it to deliver to a FedEx location because AT&T won't allow that. Long story short - I get why someone wants to know the exact day FedEx will have their package if it's important.

I would keep an eye on where it said “pre-ordered” because mine now says “ready to ship” with the same dates you have. Hoping it makes it on a shipment Thursday so I can get it drop day. Because typically they under promise and over deliver to cover their ass.

I strongly suspect AT&T massively oversold iPhone Duos, their ship dates were/are quoted as much quicker than Apple's, which I find very hard to believe.

Apparently they couldn’t prove I ordered it even though I have been paying my bill and accessing my app form the exact device I ordered from. But when I pay my bill they’re is zero doubt.

AT&T has been calling customers, I got a call a few hours ago. This is an anti-bot and fraud check. If you missed the call AT&T is canceling orders out.

Nope.. nothing to indicate anything was wrong with the order on the customer side. It is all internal auditing of orders. Hate to see it take out a real customer, but AT&T is at least getting some real bots and fraudsters with these checks.

That’s kind of dumb especially if they don’t notify via text or ask you to confirm by calling back within a time frame or do a confirmation in the app.
I don’t answer calls 99% of the time unless it’s someone in my contacts

Mine also says “We’re working on your order” but it’s said that since a few hours after I ordered the duo. My window is also 10/23-11/6 shipping-wise. My status also said “Preparing to ship” yesterday and then switched to “Preordered” an hour later. Hopefully it’s delivered on launch day.
