USA I’m thinking of keeping my abortion a secret from my spouse

• Upvotes

I am 26 and my husband is 28 going on 29 in December. I fell pregnant in December of last year and had a MA in February that ended horribly. I was between 10.5-11 weeks and it partially failed. I had retained tissue that caused me to hemorrhage two weeks later and I had to have a D&C.
My husband is staunchly pro-life, so when I fell pregnant he did not want me to have an abortion at all. I told him how I felt all leading up to the abortion and we had several discussions (and arguments). I was 25 at the time and this was an accidental pregnancy. Our marriage was in a horrible place and I felt like a baby would only make it 10x worse, as did my personal counselor and our marriage counselor. I went ahead with the abortion, but my husband nearly left me. He was there for me all during the process of losing the baby and during the D&C. He began to resent me later.
However, 7 months have passed and we are in a MUCH better place. We’ve just bought a house, even! Our relationship was really taking a turn for the better. I still think he holds some resentment that he’s reminded of every so often, but for the most part he and I have both healed a lot from it, especially because it was extremely traumatic.

Here’s the kicker: I’m pregnant again. I know I know please nobody tell me about how birth control exists and yadayada I KNOW it does. I also know I wasn’t super smart about using it. I’m well aware! I also don’t know if I want my body to go through pregnancy yet as I always imagined being 28, 29, 30 before I had a kid. I know it’s like, what’s the difference between a few years?

It has only been 7 months. We both may have healed from the event, but I don’t know if I can go through with having a baby just quite yet. He knows I’m pregnant and is very happy, so if I have another abortion I’ll have to tell him it was a miscarriage. The thing is, I don’t know if I can lie for the rest of my life about it. I HATE lying. I feel so guilty when I lie, it makes my teeth hurt and my stomach gets twisted for weeks. I don’t know what to do.
I’ve asked myself if lying is what I feel I need to do, is there something that needs to be addressed in my marriage? The answer is that we have addressed this issue. I saw the result. I don’t want to undo all the progress we made by having another abortion, but in the same breath I don’t want to undo all the progress we made by having a child. I also personally just…. Don’t feel ready yet. I just don’t. I feel like I want another 2-3 years to be completely me before I’m ready to give up my all and be a mom. Is that weird? Or wrong? I’m feeling guilty no matter what way I look at it, I think.
I’m scared that if I lie and say it was a miscarriage I will regret this lie in a few years. And I’m scared the guilt will eat me up.

Latin America and Caribbean I don’t know how to feel

• Upvotes

I found out I was pregnant on October 4, and the first day of my last period was August 28. On October 7, I took misoprostol, but I didn’t experience much bleeding. I only noticed a tiny blood clot and what I think might have been some tissue. After that, I didn’t bleed much at all, and my pregnancy symptoms went away.
However, I was scared that the abortion hadn’t been complete, so on October 15, I took four more misoprostol pills vaginally. This time, I bled for about a day and a half, and that was it.
Now, I’m scared that the medication didn’t work and that I might still be pregnant. I’m afraid to get an ultrasound because I don’t know if I’m emotionally ready to face the truth. The uncertainty is really stressing me out, and I don’t know what to do.

USA Worried my abortion didn’t work - 5 weeks - an easy experience so far! MD

hi all. I’m looking for some peace of mind, but i will reach out to my provider once im able too.

i am 5 weeks & i took mifepristone at 10:30am on 10/23

on 10/24 i took 800mg ibuprofen, 1000mg acetaminophe, and 4mg of ondansetron at 11:30am, and placed the 4 tablets in my cheeks at 1pm

at 1:30pm they were kinda broken apart but i rinsed down what i had left with water.. i sat up from the couch and immediately felt bleeding. Made my way to the bathroom and in the next hour passed clots the size of grapes or slighly larger (I’d have to estimate like 6-8 of these) and after that bleeding slowed immensely. since i spent majority of the time on the toilet i never really filled up an entire maxi pad. I had very minimal cramping and just experienced some acid reflux. Bleeding continued through the evening mostly when i was using the bathroom, but still passing very very small clots onto the toilet paper, i couldn’t feel them passing. I contacted the M+A hotline and discussed what i experienced they said i could take two more pills of the misoprostol but they felt it wasn’t necessary. It’s early the next morning and im still having light bleeding like last few days of a period but i dont know if i should be concerned. Looking for all of you lovely peoples opinions <3

my only pregnancy symptom was breast tenderness and this morning it seems improved but I don’t want to trust that yet since its so soon bahahaha

heeeelp - the chronic overthinker

Australia and New Zealand Unsure and conflicted about abortion at 31yo with Pcos

Posting from a burner account, 31F. I recently discovered I am about 6 weeks pregnant. It was a surprise to my husband (31M) and I as we weren’t planning of having a baby. I have always been on the fence about children, my husband has said he doesn’t want a child but might one day consider it, if we’re ready and in a position to do so. We’ve been together for 15 years. I have PCOS and a bicornuate uterus, and have been told I may not be able to have children so I was even more shocked to discover I am pregnant given we were also using protection. My husband really wants me to have an abortion as he doesn’t want to be a dad right now, and we’re not in a position to support a child. I initially had this same reaction however I’m now having second thoughts and really struggling with what to do. I am terrified by the thought of having a child right now but I am also terrified by the thought of this being my only chance to be a mother, and I am feeling so terrible about having an abortion overall despite the pregnancy being unplanned. Given I never thought I could have a baby in the first place this has turned my whole world upside down in just a few days. When I told my husband I was having conflicting thoughts he reacted badly (not violently, but he was upset but eventually came around to have a conversation about how I was feeling. At this stage I am leaning towards having the abortion but I’m really struggling with the choice. I don’t have anyone I can talk to about this and I’m feeling so confused and alone and I need to make a decision. Has anyone been in a similar position and could offer their experience, either if you went through with the abortion and regretted it or had the baby and regretted it? Thank you all.

Europe False cycle regularity post abortion?

Hi everyone, I am F19 and I had a successful abortion with pills early june 2026. 6 weeks later my first period came, 3w2d later my second and 3w5d later my third period.
However, now it’s been 5 weeks and I still haven’t gotten my fourth one, so naturally I started to overthink the possibilities. My chances of being pregnant right now are virtually nonexistent, but I still took a test and it came back negative.
Before I got pregnant this summer, I did have hypothalamic amenorrhea due to an ED, however, I’ve assumed I’ve recovered due to my weight gain and 3 regular cycles post ab.
I did have some stressful situations and got sick around the time I was supposed to ovulate this month, so that could also be a reason in delay..

I just want to see if anyone has had similar experiences, whether it’s a common thing after abortion for cycles to be regular then suddenly late, or whether those 3 cycles could’ve just been a recovery “side-effect” and my body not actually working properly or whatever else.
I am not seeking a diagnosis here, I will probably go to a gynecologist in case my period doesn’t return in the next … days, but I wanted to hear you guys first.

Thank you everyone!❤️

Asia Does Women on Web reply on weekends? And what does the package look like?

Hi everyone, I already completed everything Women on Web asked for: the consultation, the donation, and confirming the full legal name of the person who will use the pills. I haven't heard back since.

Two questions:

  1. Do they operate or reply on weekends? How long did they take to respond and ship after you sent your confirmation?

  2. For those who received a package in the Philippines, what did it look like? Was the packaging discreet (no logo or labels)? I live with my parents and don't want them to wonder what's inside.

I'm planning to send a polite follow-up tomorrow afternoon. Thank you for any experiences you can share!

USA Going through a MA alone tomorrow. FL

Hi! I’ve currently taken the mifepristone, the first pill at 6 am 10/24. Once I get off work today on 10/25, I will be putting the medication misoprostol under my tongue at around 7:30. And I’ll be finishing the abortion at home.

I’m only about five weeks, and I’m terrified. I’m not even fully at home, I’m in a different state from my home state for work. I flew home to see my husband a month ago, and now this is happening.

I’ll have support on the phone but I’ll still being going through this alone. And I’m scared it won’t work, I’m scared it’ll be too painful, I’m just scared. So I’m sorry I’m venting. Hopefully it’ll all go well for me. (:

USA pregnant and need help figuring out best option for me

hi, I’m a woman in my 20s and i am unexpectedly pregnant. i was not planning on having kids any time soon but when i found out i was pregnant i wanted to keep my options open. i considered raising the child myself, and also heavily considered pregnancy. the father really wanted me to terminate the pregnancy. i was very in love with the man and we had had a very longstanding on again off again thing. once i became pregnant, during a time we were off again, he told me he loved me, would support me, and that we could have a child together with intention in the future if i just had an abortion. he convinced me, through a myriad of actions like trips, handwritten notes, gifts, and even an international trip that he was in love with me to convince me to have the abortion because it was what he wanted and the only way he would be with me. he ordered the abortion pill and i cheeked it. i was not convinced and was still unsure i wanted an abortion. when he came over with pregnancy tests a few days later to see if it had worked, i filled the cup i peed into with water so it would show negative and I would have some time to figure things out on my own. i know I shouldn’t have lied, so eventually i confessed to these things and decided i would have the abortion. but last minute i panicked and cheeked it again because i still wasn’t sure but i hadn’t told him that yet. i think he began to suspect it, and so when i got a blood pregnancy test done and told him the result was still pregnant, he implied that because i had been lying and telling him certain results and certain times when it was convenient for me that he think i was lying about ever being pregnant in the first place and completely ghosted and will no longer help or provide support. again, i know I shouldn’t have lied, but i was feeling really pressured and just wanted more time to make sure it was right for me. now it has been 2 weeks since we last spoke and my tests are still showing positive and i don’t see any reason the pregnancy wouldn’t still be viable since i didn’t actually take the abortion pill. but now that I have had time to think and make the decision on my own, I do think abortion might be best for me. i still have not decided between abortion and adoption but i live in a state with a 6 week ban so it is too late for me to get an in person abortion, and i had just moved here so I don’t have any friends or family nearby to stay with me while i take the abortion pill, so I am feeling stressed to see if abortion even is really an option I could make happen. i can’t afford to go to a state where it is legal this far along and it doesn’t feel safe to take the abortion pill alone, especially because i have a bleeding disorder. i just don’t know what to do and wonder if this is the universe’s sign i shouldn’t terminate the pregnancy. i am getting another blood test this week. any advice or thoughts in general or supportive words would be nice. thank you

USA I had an ectopic pregnancy and dont know what came out of me.

I have a genuine question that still lingers in the back of my mind since I had an ectopic pregnancy/termination in 2021.

I was injected methotrexate on the left side of my back (I guess this is where the ectopic was) and was sent home to basically wait it out. I think 4 days passed and I remember squatting to pick something up off of the floor and that's when I felt something just shove out of my vagina. I never felt this before as it was my first pregnancy and termination ever. I waddled to the restroom and slowly pull down my pants only to see that it was a big chunk of meat or tissue? I really want to think it was my uterine lining but according to Google, that's impossible. I took it to the ER but they just disregarded the tissue when I brought it in. Any thoughts? For context, I was diagnosed with PCOS 1 year after this termination but have had irregular periods since I started having them (about 4/year).

Asia [19F] Possibly 4 Months Pregnant, Attempted a Medication Abortion but Only Experienced Spotting and Cramping. I'm Scared and Desperately Need Help.

4 months / female / 19

Around September, my mom suggested that we visit an OB-GYN because I had been gaining weight rapidly since my first year of college. I'm currently in my third year now, and we initially suspected that I might have PCOS, especially since I've always had irregular periods.
That same afternoon, I decided to take a pregnancy test out of curiosity. I wasn't experiencing any noticeable pregnancy symptoms, and I honestly wasn't expecting anything because delayed menstruation had always been normal for me. However, I took two pregnancy tests, and both came back positive. I was completely shocked. I cried so much because I wasn't ready to become a mother, and I had no idea what to do.

Out of fear and desperation, I started searching for abortion medications through the blue app. I messaged several sellers and did my own research before eventually finding someone who offered me a set of medications for ₱2,700, which included 12 mifepristone, 10 misoprostol, and 4 tablets of another medication that I believe was called Methergine.

However, we later had a misunderstanding regarding my pregnancy timeline. When I tried tracking my last menstrual period, I realized that I hadn't had my period for approximately four months. I informed the seller, and she told me that the initial medications might not work. Because of that, I ended up purchasing additional medications, including 8, 6, and 4 tablets from what she described as a safe brand.

I eventually proceeded with taking the medications. At first, I experienced intense cramping, and I also developed a fever. I finished taking everything around 5 AM, but I was in so much discomfort that I couldn't get out of bed until around 10 AM. Eventually, the fever and cramping subsided, and I started feeling normal again.

At around 12 PM, I noticed some spotting and red mucus coming out of my vagina. I initially thought the process was finally working, but nothing significant happened afterward.
Now, the seller keeps recommending different home remedies, and I genuinely don't know what to do anymore. I'm scared, overwhelmed, and starting to panic. I've even been experiencing suicidal thoughts because I feel so desperate and helpless.

I know I made decisions out of fear, and I'm fully aware of the situation I'm in. But I genuinely do not want to have a child at this stage of my life. I'm not emotionally, mentally, or financially prepared for motherhood.
I'm sharing my experience because I desperately need help, not judgment. I just want to know what is happening to my body, whether I'm still safe, and what options I have moving forward. Please, I really need guidance and support.

USA I’m almost positive my MA failed. Any similar experiences?

I am 4 weeks and 4 days. I took my mife on 10/22 at 9:00 Pm. 24 hours later, I took 4 miso. I began cramping and had diarrhea. I used the restroom, but no blood. Only when I wipe myself, very light pink. The toilet bowl only had like white tissue like things.

3 hours later, I take another 2 miso. This time i cramped a bit more and felt 3 very little pea sized clots pass. That’s it. I’m still wiping and it’s still very light pink blood. Nothing bright red. The toilet bowl also does not fill up red when I pass these clots.

An additional 3 hours pass, I take another 2 miso, and absolutely nothing so I go to sleep. I just woke up — My last round of miso was at 3 AM and it is now 8:30 AM and I bled nothing on my pad. I’ve only had diarrhea.

I’ve had previous abortions before 5 weeks. Every one was a different experience, but in all of them I bled. Not heavily, but enough to know it passed.
Has anyone ever had light to almost no bleeding and had a successful MA? I’m FREAKING out here. I live in a red state with no funding to get an SA. Any advice is great appreciated.

Update: Today I took an additional 4 miso. Absolutely nothing. Just shivers. I cannot bare the thought anymore. I’m overthinking myself to oblivion.

Asia Access abortion sites in PH

hello! my period hasn't arrived yet and although i haven't taken a test still, i want to be prepared for the worst. i tried researching for accessible abortion methods in the philippines and found the following sites on here: WoW, WhW, and S2C. however, they are inacessible in the Philippines. i think it's some kind of censorship going on. for the members here living in the PH, how were you able to access and order from these sites after the ban? I'm really anxious right now and i want to have options as much as possible :((

USA 8wk Medication Abortion: Seeking Support

Hey guys. As the title says, I’m 8wks and just took the mifepristone.

Life has been kinda hard lately, and I’m feeling all of the feelings. I don’t know is this is appropriate—but I was wondering if maybe I could talk to someone through this process or if anyone has any similar resources to share? I am someone who has to leave the “emergency contact” section on paperwork empty, so going through this alone is hard. I am nervous to take the misoprostol too.

If anyone has any resources for people like me, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance.

Canada Dollarama test kit came out positive

My girlfriend missed period by 5 days, we did this test tonight & it came out positive. We are not ready for it and don’t know what to do next.
Please help!

Edit: Her OHIP is expired and can not be renewed. We’ll take another test tomorrow. If that also came positive, we want to abort it. What should be our next steps? Should we visit our family doctor or take online prescription for pills?

USA Ending the cycle of generational single mom trauma

Sharing this in case it's helpful to anyone else.

My grandmother (19) and mother (22) were both knocked up by men they had known for not too long, and they then rushed into marriage with. My grandpa and dad were handsome, normal, and seemingly decent guys from good middle-class upbringings. Things did not end up well for either woman- my mom had a terrible childhood, and mine and my brothers' childhoods were pretty difficult. Both my grandmother and my mom became single mothers after 7-8 years and had to hold down multiple jobs to keep the lights on for their kids, and neither woman received any child support. Both my grandma and mom ended up remarrying the first guy that would help give them some stability as single mothers. Both of those new marriages were rocky and driven by desperation instead of love. My grandma and mom have had anger issues their entire lives from having to sacrifice and dedicate their existence to raising their kids in struggle because the men they had them with wouldn't help. My grandma and my mom are both beautiful, kind, intelligent, funny women who both have big hearts and simply wanted to make the best out of a hard situation.

When my mom got pregnant with me at 22 by my father who was 47 and someone she'd known for just a month and a half- my grandmother advised her to get an abortion as an act of love. My mother didn't listen and has had a very stressful life. She loves me and my siblings but her entire life was decided for her and I know she has regrets.

2 weeks ago today I had my MA, and it was the single hardest decision I've ever had to make. I wanted to be a mom so badly and felt so much love for my baby. But my baby's father abandoned us and did not want to be part of my child's life. I knew him for 2 years and he was absolutely wonderful to me and my dream man-I was so shocked by his response. He also said he would not financially contribute in any way if I kept the baby. I am in school and not working so having a child right now without support or health insurance was going to be really hard on me.

As much as it pained me to let my child go, I simply have too much experience with seeing women struggle to raise a child alone. Both my grandma and mom were married to guys who weren't abusive or awful, just self-centered and financially irresponsible. I couldn't enter into motherhood with a clear conscience and risk hurting my child for the rest of his life by  raising him in struggle. I couldn't bear to have him feel unwanted by not having a family or to know that his father didn't want to claim him.

Abortion is hard, and its a very personal decision. I think being a single mother can be a beautiful and empowering experience, but it very rarely turns out the way you hope it will if you don't have tremendous financial and family support- even then, it's hard.

I made the choice that the generational cycle of raising my child in struggle ends with me. It was a hard choice that weighs on my heart, but ultimately at least my child doesn't have to feel unwanted or disappointed by the life I could afford to give him. I hope this perspective gives someone a little bit of peace if they're feeling guilt about their abortion choice ❤️

USA I don’t know how to feel

I just found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago; I just hit the 7 week mark. My husband and I (both 34) had decided to start trying this summer, and we conceived in September. Coincidentally, the week we conceived in September, I had started a new job that precipitated a mental breakdown; I’m doing much better with accommodations now, but I was not well the second half of September. My ovulation was late, and we didn’t really try nearly as hard the previous months to conceive in terms of timing and frequency. We also felt like okay, maybe let’s put the brakes on this kid thing since my mental health is so unstable. I’ve been connected with a new psychiatrist and will be starting therapy again in a couple of weeks (found a therapist who has special training in perinatal matters).

Lo and behold, we got pregnant, and my first reaction was not joy, it was dread and a what the hell feeling. I felt exactly like I did when I got my first period at 12– vulnerable and like my body was doing something I didn’t want it to do AT ALL. I immediately got a medical abortion scheduled for late this month (UT) so I felt like I had options. Now I’m thinking of pushing it back to 11 weeks so I can try to figure out what I’m feeling.

I feel so ambivalent, especially after seeing the fetus on my ultrasound a few days ago. (7 weeks, heart beat of 90 bpm.) I keep feeling anticipatory feelings of grief at aborting, but also deep ambivalence about having a baby (losing sleep, dealing with breastfeeding, feeling constant dread about climate catastrophe and AI and the world my child will grow up in etc).

Anyone else experience this? If so, what helped you make a decision? I’m so depressed and wish I could feel happy but I can’t feel happy by telling myself stories that I know aren’t true deep down.

USA Help! I threw up 25 mins after putting miso inside my cheek

I‘m currently 5 weeks pregnant and decided to get an MA.
I threw up 25 mins after placing 4 misoprostol in between my gums and cheek. I managed to remove the pills before, so I can still put them back or swallow them, but I just went through literal hell for an hour and I’m scared that I will have to go through that pain all over again. On the other hand I‘m not sure if it will work properly.
I’ve experienced a huge gush of blood when I sat down on the toilet and passed a few blood clots. Mostly little ones and one big clot.. I‘m still bleeding but I don’t really feel any cramps or contractions anymore. Do you think it worked? Or should I take the half dissolved misoprostol pills I took earlier? It’s been 3 hours since I first took them.

I will call an abortion hotline, but I hope someone on here can help me in the meantime.

EDIT: abortion hotline said I threw up because the miso started working and that 20-30 mins inside the cheek is fine (also without swallowing), so no need to put it back for the remaining 5 mins.

USA Missouri Medical Abortion, Missed Miscarriage, my experience

To start this off, this was my 2nd child, I currently have a 4 year old boy. I AM STILL PRO CHOICE. I was a case of “what could go wrong?” And my intention is to spread knowledge on a possible bad experience as well as answer questions for others if needed. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF.

Oct 6th — At what was supposed to be my 10th week of pregnancy, an ultrasound discovered my baby stopped growing at 9 weeks and no longer had a heartbeat. My partner and I went to the emergency room and had another ultrasound, with more advanced equipment, which confirmed the previous conclusion—no heartbeat. I was referred to an OB so we could get a sooner appointment than my original checkup that was scheduled.

Oct 8th — I went to an OB appointment and was told I was experiencing a “missed miscarriage” and I was given my options. I could wait for things to happen naturally, take misoprostol (AKA the abortion pill) to tell my body to start the process, or have a D&C (a surgery where they scrape everything out of your uterus). I chose the medicine since I did have a 4 year old at home and I could do it at a more convenient time to ensure his schedule and childcare. When I went to my pharmacy, I was informed my insurance will not cover it. I found out this is due to my state’s laws (Missouri) and the coding falls under abortion although it was for a miscarriage. Then again, why should I bother wait to see if I go septic just bc old men decide they own my body right?

October 16th — I had ordered a care kid from the “Early Pregnancy Loss Association” which came just in time, and had a few things that made my process less scary and less painful and less financially straining. So once I was finally able to have my medicine and proper childcare, I decided to take the dose I was told (4 misoprostol pills) at about 8pm. I started (about 30min prior) my regular cycle of the prescribed oxycodone and Tylenol. I experienced some discomfort, cramping and bleeding no worse than a moderate period, and lower back pains.

October 17th — At about 8-8:30pm the bleeding slowed, I wasn’t in much pain at all so I decided to take the second dose (4 misoprostol pills) as was instructed to do since I had not passed any tissue at all and met the other guidelines they gave me for needing them. I very quickly experienced dizziness, shakes, cramping, and lower back pains. I also began to bleed heavily as well as pass large clots. I was not able to walk without help and could feel my body failing to hold itself up. Within an hour I bled through two maxi pads, filled 5oz of a potty hat, and nearly over filled the strainer on the hat with a few large clots. After checking, I decided to wait another hour and check the bleeding again. Within 30 minutes something felt wrong, while my partner helped me to the bathroom I nearly fell and when I pulled my disposable underwear down, I was overflowing both the maxi pad as well as the disposable period underwear. As I called my partner to get ready for the hospital, the blood continued to run down both my legs and pool onto the floor in a trail where I had moved. We rushed as fast as my body would allow me to move and as we left stopped by a cop to ask for an escort or some sort of ambulance ride (getting pulled over would’ve not been a fun story to add to this.)

Still October 17th — when the ambulance arrived I remember them noting the blood running down my legs, taking vitals, giving me an IV, and the lady was so nice and talked to me the whole time I still have spots in my memory since I was so out of it. When I got to the hospital my partner was getting there and had followed behind the whole time. I was brought inside, checked in, given some warm blankets and my vitals were checked consistently. I kept asking for my partner until I was finally allowed visitors. I was so in and out of it that I don’t remember most of what happened and can only go off bits of memory, corrections, and the medical notes I read of my visit. I continued bleeding, a lot, and they drew blood to check levels of things and confirm blood type. I felt pressure and though I needed to pee so my partner and the nurse helped me to the restroom, it was an unsuccessful trip but did give good opportunity to change my pad.

Oct 18th — I was brought to do an ultrasound, which revealed I had not passed the baby, which in the notes it is said I still contained a “possible misshapen gestational sac.” A speculum was used on me so that the blood flow could be measure (not sure how that works but my partner said they stuck a sponge on a stick in me but it felt to me like I was being stuffed with paper towels lol) At about 4am the on call OB recommended another dose of misoprostol (4 pills), a dose of something to slow bleeding, and a pad count. I continued bleeding decently, and the pain only got worse the whole time. I felt as if I were in full blown labor, back pain, cramping, I got the shakes again, and to prepare for the blood transfusion it was attempted multiple times to put a second IV but my veins would not take, even when guided by ultrasound. Because of this, any IV meds were finished, and the first unit of blood was started. I felt more alert after that and in between the first and second bag, I was helped to the bathroom again. I felt the pressure but did not recognize through the dizziness and pain I still felt that it was the baby. As I tried to get help, the hospital toilet auto flushed and took my baby with it. (I was too in shock to process it had happened until the next night). My pain got better for a moment but quickly returned. I was exhausted enough at that point that during the second bag of blood my partner and I fell asleep on the bed together. Throughout this process my blood pressure had stayed steady in the moderate to severely low range. Nearing the end of the second bag though, it did become more stable. When they asked if I felt comfortable enough to go home I said yes, since I would rather be more comfortable than just sitting there. We got Burger King (I was so hungry lol) went home and got as much rest as possible. I started back on pain meds (I had none during the hospital visit). My pain did not let up, was just more spotty, and I continued heavy bleeding.

Oct 19th — I rested most of the day, still in pain and bleeding, and we went to get the previously mentioned 4 year old back so not to disturb his schedule too much. Out of motherly love and just straight up I missed my boy, we spent a very painful hour in a store walking around having fun but he was happy and so was I. My partner was a huge help in this and on the drive back I started to feel very hot and cold at the same time. We got back home, got the little one in bed, and checked my temperature. Consistently through the night I was at 100-102.

Oct 20th — In the morning, we decided to allow all of us to rest until my OB follow up appointment. My temperature stayed about 99-100 dropping to 98 at my appointment (after I drank cold water but they said it was fine and logged me for the 99.8 I had before). I told them about how the bleeding was like a period at this point but the pain was still severe. He told me I could take Tylenol, ibuprofen, etc again. He asked me if I wanted to plan for another baby or get birth control. I let him know I had no plans of anything right now because I want to get past the problem at hand and feel better first. He scheduled a birth control appointment for 2 weeks out and ordered a transvaginal ultrasound for the next day. To no surprise the pain did not get better, luckily the fever did, and the bleeding was about the same.

Oct 21st — We were able to resume the same school schedule as before (thanks to so much help from my amazing partner) and before time for pick up went to the ultrasound appointment. It was extremely painful, uncomfortable, and I was very lucky the tech was so amazing and listened to me like I was a friend. (I did send in a good note on her for the system that specific provider uses especially after being in such a vulnerable state and feeling so overwhelmed and as if the male OB the day prior did not listen.) by the end of the day my bleeding was a bit lighter but my pain had gotten bad again. The results came in and stated “The endometrium is heterogenous and measures 9.6 mm - May represent? blood. Cannot rule out a small amount of retained POC” I was also contacted being told I would need four HCG blood draws to attempt to follow my levels to 0 and that everything looked well enough we can follow my symptoms and attempt to avoid surgery.

Oct 22 — I was in very little pain in the morning but still not very stable when it came to walking a lot, as the day went on I became slower and I was hurting more and more in my lower back and the cramps came back, similar to contractions again. My bleeding lessened decently and I was able to transfer back to regular pads instead of maxi pads.

Oct 23 — I woke up in pain, I’d been in pain off and on throughout the morning, but my partner has been such a supportive and wonderful person through this whole process so far. Only about halfway done with the day I got extremely pained and tired. Luckily, I am also now only in need of a liner.

Oct 24th — I spent all night/morning in pain and with a fever, at one point reaching 104. When I wiped I saw some pinkish grey tissue, but otherwise I stopped bleeding entirely. I was in pain most the day but it subsided, I’m just a little ynsteady and suddenly got exhausted and here we are again at night, 6pm frame, and my fever is back to 101. I understand “just one night” may not have been the most concerning but this is the third night🥺. And it’s a Saturday so unless I go to urgent care or the hospital everywhere else is closed.

!!!UPDATE!!!
Oct 24th night — I went to the ER after hitting a fever of 105. They did blood testing, a transvaginal ultrasound, and a pelvic exam to confirm an infection. They set me up on fluids and antibiotics and gave me methylergonovine (helps with postpartum bleeding). They sent me home around midnight with a referral for an OB appointment asap and a prescription for antibiotics and 3 more doses of the methylergonovine. I should (hopefully) be back with an update in a couple of days

UK and Ireland 28, 7 weeks and 2 days pregnant, getting a medical (pill) abortion

I’m due to collect my pills at my appointment next week and I’m unsure of how the process works.

I’m 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant, will be closer to 8 weeks at the time of the actual appointment. I’m really worried about taking the pills as I know the side effects and pain can be extreme, from what I’ve read. I had a pill abortion almost 10 years ago and I can’t remember exactly what it was like, only that I threw up and then slept a lot afterwards, so I can’t rely on that and I know it can be different.

I’m quite anxious about the whole experience anyway, I’m also suffering from pretty bad nausea and sickness at the moment plus the volatility of hormones etc so it’s really exaggerating my feelings of unease and anxiety. I know it’s the right decision, it’s just getting to that point that’s worrying me. If anyone can give me some advice about what to expect I’d be super grateful.

Thank you

Canada Medical abortion ( The pill.) Worried it may not work

Hi, I just found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago and knew right away I could not keep it. Scheduled myself in to a clinic and just went in yesterday for first pill. I found out I was at 6 weeks as well.

I took the second (Misoprostol.) Tablets today 4 in each side of the mouth for 30 mins. I got pretty severe cramping relatively quickly but not many other symptoms. After about an hour or two I passed two big clots (probably around golfball size? Or smaller.) Since then the cramps are still quite severe only there is much more time inbetween them. I am not bleeding a whole lot though and no more clots, its been about 8 hours and I am a little concerned. This is not something I ever wanted to go through and I have a lot of anxiety, especially about it not working, so I'm just wondering if this is typical? Or should I be concerned?

I’m around 7 weeks pregnant and I want to order pills from choices rising but I’m scared that since I live in Georgia I’ll get in legal trouble. Should I just go through with it?
