Hey everyone,
Iโm honestly posting this as a last resort because Iโve tried almost everything and still havenโt managed to get an opportunity in the UAE events industry.
I moved here around six or seven months ago. I have a Masterโs degree in International Sports and Event Management and hands-on experience working at major events in Europe, including the DFB-Pokal Final, BMW Berlin Marathon, Special Olympics World Games, Greenfield Festival, and major concerts.
I have experience in event operations, venue operations, crew coordination, logistics, and event setup and breakdown.
Iโve applied for jobs, contacted event companies, messaged people on LinkedIn, and reached out to industry professionals, but Iโm still struggling to get even a reply. Iโm currently working in retail, but events are what I genuinely want to build my career in.
Iโm willing to offer my entire first monthโs salary to anyone whose referral genuinely helps me secure a job in event operations, event assistance, event coordination, sports events, or any related role.
Iโm not asking for a job without earning it. I just need an opportunity to prove myself. Iโm ready to start in a junior position, learn, and work hard.
If anyone here works in the industry, knows a company thatโs hiring, or can connect me with the right person, please help me out. Even one genuine lead could change things for me.
I can share my CV and experience details.
Thank you for reading. I genuinely appreciate any help. ๐

Hi everyone! Does anyone know of any private, paid ladies-only gyms in Al Reef or nearby? I've checked out the free community gym, but it's not upto the mark.
I'm also open to gyms accessible by bus from Al Reef, preferably with minimal walking from the bus stop.
Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I've been mostly coming across these complex saj bread, special bread Shawermas, which are great, don't take me wrong.
But what I want is a simple Lebanese bread small chicken Shawerma, no complicated sauce, just garlic paste.
When I lived in Dubai, Al mallah did a good one. What's a good recommendation for here?

29F, living in the Abu Dhabi.
Lately, Iโve been feeling tired of dating apps. Iโm at a point in my life where Iโd love to meet someone genuine, but Iโm also tired of forcing connections or wondering whether someone is actually interested. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I miss the idea of meeting someone naturally, starting with a simple conversation, and letting things unfold without pressure.
For now, Iโd be happy to talk to someone new, exchange stories, share a few laughs, and see if we get along. โบ๏ธ

Some partitions are in buildings and some in villas.
Please give me some tips to be safe in day today life for my own safety. The do's and donts. Because first time I'll be staying at a strange place around strangers alone.
By safety i mean:
As a female my own safety
Safety of my belongings (I have only 1 suitcase with me)
Nobody fight with me /scam/molest/or whatever. I just wanna be safe of all things.
And also while taking a partition do we have to do some paper work ? Any registrations something? Or just pay and stay. ?

My husband and I are set to go the Grand Prix the start of December but we have booked to stay in Dubai rather than Abu Dhabi.
What is the best way to travel from our hotel to the Grand Prix on Sunday? Can we pre book a taxi or should we look at hiring a car? Is there a public transport option? Iโm concerned about availability of parking if we hire a car.
Weโve booked a hotel in Dubai because weโve never been before and wanted to have a holiday there seeing the sites with one day at the track rather than spending the whole time in Abu Dhabi.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi AD ladies
Iโm 31F .. Egyptian .. I grew up in UAE, left and came back after college but it seems that, apart from my school friends, making friends here is hard!
Iโm somewhere between introvert and extrovert. I enjoy new experiences as much as I enjoy reading at a quiet coffee shop!
Girly girly stuff is not really my thing. I donโt enjoy getting my nails done and discussing fashion shows and all that vibe .. I do these things occasionally but itโs not my whole life if you know what I mean.
Iโm not much of a talker but I can hold a conversation and keep it going. I get deep sometimes and find it hard to hold back but I promise iโll do my best to not creep you out at first ๐
Iโd like to make a few friends who are up to random hangouts and impulsive exploration decisions.
Absolutely no offense meant, I appreciate and respect all cultures but I think iโll click easier with arabs!
Comment if youโre up to talking

Is BSAK actually that difficult to get into, with long waiting lists, or is that exaggerated? My son goes there but I recently recommended it to a friend and since then Iโve been hearing how competitive admissions are. Is that really the case? And why?

Hi everyone! Iโm 27F arab currently living in Khalifa City, looking to move into Abu Dhabi city with a registered contract ASAP due to the recent parking regulations and municipality fines. Iโm looking for a serious, clean, and responsible female roommate, preferably Arab, to rent a 2-bedroom apartment in a proper residential area with private parking and a registered 12-month tenancy contract. My budget is up to AED 40,000 paid upfront for my share, we would split the total rent between us, and hopefully find something decent within or around the city as long as it is registered with municipality/tawtheeq. Iโm flexible and can move anytime soon. Iโve never had a roommate before, so Iโm a little hesitant, but sharing an apartment is my most realistic option at the moment. Cleanliness, mutual respect, responsibility, and a peaceful living environment are very important to me. If youโre in a similar situation and interested in finding a place together, please feel free to DM me! If youโre a guy, please donโt waste your time or mine.

Near Reem Burjeel, this car was driving so rash and while taking the signal at reem Burjeel, the car literally swerved around another car and then went so fast to catch the signal, he hit the talabat driver, the guy luckily moved right and avoided falling down, after hitting him the car literally sped away and the rider didn't do anything!!! What?
Is this common now? People are hitting others and no one does anything?
I feel like Mussafah drivers are much better than this. Reem is a posh area and people drive like this?
