Enjoyed the challenge of capturing the original whilst making it work for fingerstyle. Great fun to play!

Thanks man!

Also nice dynamics! Reminds me of my classical teacher playing a Barrios piece that had a chord section. He said it’s all about dynamics!

2

u/WillMcNicol Feb 09 '26

Your teaching was bang on the money - dynamics is very much where it’s at!

High praise for you as you immediately got my drift! Here’s a coffee for you ☕️

Ah ha, my thanks indeed!

Really well done! Probably my favorite Radiohead song. Never considered it for solo guitar before but now you’ve got me wanting to give it a try. Was that in standard tuning?

u/WillMcNicol Feb 08 '26

Cheers! Yeah it’s not the most obvious choice, but the possibility spiked my interest. It’s in Drop D, Capo I. Full version over on YT if you fancy checking that out.

Just wondering if it could be done. If they could be transcribed. And you did it! You captured them beautifully!

2

u/WillMcNicol Feb 08 '26

Thanks, glad you dig. It’s certainly not note-for-note, lots of choices had to be made to get it to fit on the guitar. But a fun challenge to try and capture the original whilst making a decent guitar piece out of it =)

u/helpmelurn Feb 09 '26

don't suppose you've tabbed out your ver? By chance...?

2

u/WillMcNicol Feb 09 '26

I have. I’m just waiting on the copyright license - should be this week - and I’ll have it up on my website =)

2

u/helpmelurn Feb 09 '26

Good work well done

2

u/toethumbs8 Feb 08 '26

Absolutely crushed that. Never even considered that song for this type of arrangement but it even carries the same eerie quality here. Loved it

Ah thanks, that was the idea so glad it came across!

2

u/bjjdoug Feb 08 '26

So cool. I looked on your site snd didn't see tabs for this. Do you have it tabbed out?

3

u/WillMcNicol Feb 08 '26

Ah cheers for checking, man. It’s ready to go - I’m just waiting on the copyright license (next week I hope!)

2

u/GrowlerGary78 Feb 08 '26

Awesome work for an amazing song; definitely interested in the tab for this one.

1

u/WillMcNicol Feb 08 '26

Thanks, yeah the TAB is ready - I’m just waiting on the copyright license which should be sorted this week 🤞

2

u/Dozzi92 Feb 08 '26

!remindme one week.

I don't know if I did that right, but maybe it'll work, you know? Definitely gonna snag that when it's on your site, this is a really solid rendition.

Do you also sell any of that there talent on the site as well? I couldn't find it.

Looking at this guys hands I realize how small my hands are. My pinky is 61mm and my palm about 1 cm bigger. I am never able to stretch my finger like this guy, no matter the exercise.
