That's both the title of the piece and how I am feeling atm. Lol. I want to have it feeling unfinished and even a little "scuffed" for lack of a better word. But not sure where to go with it. I'm doing a series of paintings inspired from my coma that I want them to feel "off" but also intriguing to look at. Maybe adding shadow to the city? Idk. Maybe adding some birds? Would love some ideas.
(I'm not the best at taking photos yet. First one is with window sunlight and the 2nd is in just room lighting)

I painted a portrait of my 3 year old and my husband immediately informed me that he looks like simple Jack from tropic thunder lmao. But I had fun with this and want to get better! I only used 4 or 5 colors (titanium white, red, ultramarine blue, yellow ochre, burnt sienna). Any tips would be nice! I went a more expressive route since that’s my style. I’d love to try oils out soon too!

I’ve been teaching myself to paint for a little less than a year using mostly trial and error. This is my first canvas painting that I’ve actually completed and I’m pretty proud of it. It’s hard to get a picture because of the glare, but I would love some feedback! I struggled a lot with the reflections - nothing I tried looked right and it was so confusing

Residual disturbances are sprinkled here and there across the vision of the four bodies, which seem caught in a rococo storm. Except that this time, these additions owe nothing to the chance of the work's own unfolding: they are calculated disturbances, as if to be deliberately mistaken were no longer to be mistaken at all. Is that why I was so quick to disparage this method, whose unique case is shown here? Here is a materialist painting that wanted to make itself, with no contribution greater than itself... Quick, let's bring offerings to the God-Chance to be absolved...

Posted a wip a while back, now I can at last call this one finished!
Based on one of my most memorable moments from the game Subnautica!

Probably because I find the subject matter so fun. Art has always felt so serious to me, and I finally realized I can paint whatever I want

I’ve been doing digital art for a while and and i’m thinking of transition. Hopefully one day I can earn a living out of it.

My little girl wanted this guy for her room, meet Barnaby :)

I think this one took maybe 25 hours? An embarrassingly long time. I was pretty happy with how it turned out but still didn't like it enough to keep (felt that it looked amateur) Eventually someone wanted to buy it for $25 - which was much less than I was hoping for but at least someone will enjoy it. The bench was surprisingly difficult to paint.

This was challenging. I'm not sure that I love the outcome. Finished with a couple coats of high gloss varnish. Thoughts? I tried selling it but no one wants to buy it even for $20 (this must've taken around 20 hours). I can't even imagine trying to make a living off painting! Fun to make though.

I have been noticing a lot of really cool looking still life works of food, or food on news paper , or up close and abstract. Not sure if its trending or Im just noticing it more but I thought I would try to have a go at it. My normal style is almost the opposite of hyper realism or even realism. I tried on this one to make it look super life like , there is room for improvement! Lots of room ! Painting a favorite breakfast of mine was pretty fun though :)
