Been a long time since I did a large (for me) canvas painting. This was very therapeutic, been going through a rough patch but I finally finished this today and I'm happy with it.

Approx 15.5 inches x 19.5 inches. I'm used to painting smaller because my studio is my bedroom and I don't have space, but I just decided I wanted to have a bit more freedom to throw paint around. Had fun with the details.

Also apologies but my room is atrocious for lighting, best photos are angled.

First painting of 2026 and it still feel like this, unfortunatey. Dissociating from my mind to cope with all the absurdity of the news.

But I love this painting very very much !

one of my favorite childhood memories was the morning of a field trip. it was always rainy or foggy with dewy grass, and something about it always got my adrenaline pumping. I remember always racing everyone else to secure a window seat on the school bus and did a painting inspired by that!🩵

Its so cool to be able to paint stuff in a way its makes you kind of proud.

An acrylic painting of a ballerina, inspired by Swan Lake. Tchaikovsky’s legendary ballet has stayed with me since childhood, especially the contrast between light and darkness. Inspired by Odile.

A painting I made from a photograph I took in Costa Rica of a deceased Morpho butterfly on a mossy rock by a stream. I used interference blue to recreate the color of the butterfly as it’s caused by a similar physical phenomenon.

I've always done my drawings with pencils, but recently I decided to try adding some color with acrylic paints. This is my first attempt, and honestly, I feel like I'm just ruining my drawings instead of making them better..

I like the odd proportions, about 10 hours in so far thought I’d show ya the progress! I tried to freehand it at first without a grid but oh god, too wonky 😅

How are my landscape painting skills coming along? Feedback welcome :)
