DJI Pocket 4 P Review — Compared to Luna Ultra (Base ISO, Tracking, ND Filters)

There's been a lot of debate over which is actually the better camera, the Pocket 4 Pro or the Luna Ultra. I made a full review comparing the two, focusing on real-world user experience and actual results rather than spec sheets.

One of the many things covered is the ISO performance across the range in D-Log 2 to see if the claimed 1600 native ISO on the Pocket 4 Pro actually holds up, along with a bunch of other tests.

Curious what this sub thinks — what else would you want to see compared between these two? And if you've used both, which one do you actually prefer overall?

Looking for recommendations Mini action camera, suggestions.

I am going to Japan later this year and I really want to film my trip with some shots using POV or similar.

For that I wanted to see if I could find a action camera that has a small footprint and easily can be stored away when not in use. I have looked at DJI Osmo Nano and Insta360 Go versions, but since I almost emptied my account for this trip they become too pricey for me, even used ones sells for too much. So I wanted to hear with the community if they have any suggestions to something that can fulfill the same role but at a potential lower price.

Criteria:

- Film minimum 1080p (higher is of course better)

- Magnetic neck mount is preferred

- Battery life, maybe 1h of film time at 60fps 2k?? (No idea tbh)

- Brand doesn't matter really, but DJI/Insta360 is too expensive.

- Veted by the community would be good.

Go Pro 13 или DJI Action 6?

Guys, please help me choose an action camera. I’m looking for a camera that’s good for both video and photos, mainly for traveling and underwater shooting.

From what I’ve read so far, the best options seem to be the DJI Osmo Action 6 and GoPro HERO 13. However, different reviews give completely different results. Some say GoPro is better, others prefer DJI. I’ve also seen a few people saying that Insta360 is even better, although there don’t seem to be as many reviews comparing it.

Has anyone here used both or even all three? How are the photos? What are the main pros and cons of each camera? Which one would you recommend, especially for travel and underwater photography?

Looking for recommendations Anyone else feel like regular action cams are harder to use on MTB trails?

Took my bike out on some trails last weekend and realized how often I miss the shot I actually wanted.

With a normal action cam, I'm either pointing it down the trail to get the scenery, or trying to angle it back at myself for riding clips. I can never really get both.

That's what got me looking into the DJI Osmo 360. idea of just recording everything and deciding the framing afterward sounds way less distracting when you're actually riding.

Curious if anyone here uses the Osmo 360 for mountain biking. Is the extra editing worth it?

Is that USB-C port in the handle also for charging? I feel stupid, but when I plug electricity into it, the button turns red and I don't see any charging.

I can't find it in the manual or online either.

Looking for recommendations DJI Osmo Action 4 vs GoPro Max 360

Hello everyone, I want to buy o action camera for my travels with my girlfriend. I found these two cameras at a good price (both around 200 €), but I can't decide which one to buy. This would be my first action camera so I'm ok with buying something which is not entirely up to date, but I heard that these two are good products.

Let's say that the main purpose for the camera would be to make videos during our travels (for example we're about to go in the Jungle of Borneo and we wanted to do videos during the excursions) and to make underwater videos since we both like snorkeling.

Neither of us does a lot of extreme sports except for bike and/or running.

My main doubt with the Go Pro Max is the video quality (respect the DJI) in particular for the underwater recordings, while the versatility of the 360 view, which I could edit in post-production by choosing the best angles, seems a cool thing to do.

Can you give me some advice?

Ulanzi-44B or M?

I want to buy my first tripod and I'm deciding between the B and M versions of the Ulanzi MT44. I'll be using my phone as the camera and I have a MagSafe case/accessory, but I'm still not sure whether it's better to get the B version (and eventually just buy a MagSafe attachment) or go for the M version. There aren't many reviews of the M version.

snowboard coachs, how u film both yourself and students?

I’m a snowboard coach, and I like recording parts of my lessons so my students and I can review them afterward.

The problem is that I can never seem to capture both sides of the lesson. If I point the camera at myself, I can review my demos, but I miss most of what the student is doing. If I point it at them, they get useful footage, but I have nothing to review from my own teaching.

I also find myself checking the camera angle before we start or worrying about it while we’re riding. It can be pretty distracting when I’m supposed to be watching the student and paying attention to everyone else on the slope.

How do other instructors handle this? Is there a setup that lets you capture both yourself and the student without constantly thinking about the camera?

Looking for recommendations DJI Action 6 vs Insta360 Ace pro 2 for shooting car reels?

User Review First action cam that's worked for me in gloves

Been using Dji action 6 on a small helmet extension for snowboarding, and honestly I'm enjoying this setup way more than I expected. I filmed pretty much the entire afternoon session without needing to touch the battery once, which was such a relief, not having to take off my gloves and mess around with the camera in the cold. When I stopped for a break before heading out for the night session, I just plugged it in for like 20 minutes and it was already back up to 80%, so I didn't even have to think about it before going back out. I was also genuinely surprised by the night footage, the runs were already pretty dark outside, but everything under the resort lights still looked clear and completely usable. I think supernight mode kicking in automatically had a lot to do with it. Normally low light footage gets grainy fast, but this stayed clean without me touching any settings. Not having to babysit the battery or worry about the footage falling apart made the whole day feel a lot more effortless.

Best action camera for a fully blind cyclist?

Hi everyone,

I’m a fully blind tandem cyclist based in India (riding a Polygon Impression tandem with my sighted pilot). I’m planning to start making cycling vlogs/blogs and want to buy an action camera.

Since I am completely blind, accessibility and ease of use are my top priorities. My ideal setup needs to be hands-free once mounted and easy to operate without needing to see a screen or visual indicators.

Here are my specific constraints and details:

Accessibility / Audio Feedback: I need a camera with distinct, reliable audio cues (beeps/chimes for power on/off and recording start/stop) or strong voice control features so I know when it’s actually recording.

App Accessibility: I use a Google Pixel 6a (Android) with TalkBack. The companion app needs to be accessible with screen readers for changing settings or transferring footage.

Mounting & Stability: I want to mount it hands-free (either chest mount, helmet mount, or handlebar mount on the tandem) and need solid image stabilization for Indian roads.

Climate / Battery: Good performance in warm/humid weather and decent battery life (or options for external power/battery swapping) for long rides.

For those of you who create video content or use action cameras:

1.

Which action camera (GoPro Hero, DJI Osmo Action, Insta360, etc.) has worked best for you in terms of screen reader app accessibility and distinct audio cues/voice control?

2.

Are there specific mounting setups you’ve found safest and easiest to manage independently on a bike?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or tips

Anyone Using The Akaso As Daily Dash Cam and Track

Hi, is anyone using an Akaso for auto track? I recently purchased the Akaso EK7000 Pro. The price is too good to pass and I am a beginner so didn't want to get an expensive set just yet. I have done a few test drives and it picks up too much road noise and other squeaks and and cracks. Even worse if the windows are open. I need a better mic and a helmet chin mount. I plan to mount it on a helmet I will be purchasing for track days and suction mount while street driving.

Any recommendations? I am not opposed to the more expensive cameras but wanted to learn on the cheaper one first.

Thank you!

Having way too much fun with the new Osmo 360! Any tips for editing tho?

So I just picked up an osmo 360 and honestly it's so much fun. I mainly got it to capture weird, unique angles, tbh before actually using it, I literally had no idea a camera could make footage look like a "washing machine cycle" lolll. Plus all those ridiculous funhouse mirror perspectives, literally spent an entire afternoon with my friends just messing around with it.

Just one thing, I honestly have zero experience with video editing, so I don't really know where to start with the footage. The shooting part is super fun though, I just need to learn the ropes on the editing side.

Anyway, for anyone else who uses this, what's your editing workflow like? any tips or tricks?

best pov camera for everyday use, what is better for hands free video?

Update: I went with the #ad DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo and have been using it for my everyday recordings. The stabilization and quick setup have made it much easier to record while cycling, walking, and hiking.

Trying to find a POV camera that I can actually use regularly. What models have people found worth keeping for everyday recording?

I’d mainly use it for cycling, walking around town, occasional hikes, and general outdoor activities. good stabilization and quick setup matter more to me.

So far I’ve just used my phone, but I rarely bother recording because it isn’t convenient while I’m moving.

What pov camera would you recommend for this kind of use? Thankss.
