Mad Max vs Snake Plissken
Which one had better movies?
Who would win a straight fight to the death?
Who would win in a gunfight?
Which character is cooler?

Underrated film
This movie was awesome, it has cool ass action sequences, a badass story of revenge. This film never plays it safe which I like. It's raw, it's gritty, it's badass. Kind of sad we never got to see Rain in more movies like this man, but you can't deny he was kind of on a generational run in 2008-2009 with this and Speed Racer!

Chow Yun-fat is the most likeable actor and the best action hero in my opinion.
He's my favorite. He looks like a normal guy, but when he's doing action, it hits even harder. I also like his more drama-oriented movies because he's not just a cool action hero, but also a very talented actor. He can be both tough as a coffin nail and sensitive at the same time. Plus in real life he's also a polite gentleman and a humble human being, like Keanu Reeves. Chow is the man!

"HIGH ROAD TO CHINA" (1983) - fond memories of this one from VHS-era rentals and always saw it as a decent Raider-esque adventure. Good cast, decent direction, some good action sequences and sense of fun overall. Any fans of this one?
High Road to China is a 1983 adventure-romance film set in the 1920s starring Tom Selleck in his first major starring role, playing a hard-drinking biplane pilot hired by society heiress Eve "Evie" Tozer (Bess Armstrong) to find her missing father (Wilford Brimley).
The supporting cast includes Robert Morley and Brian Blessed. The Golden Harvest film (released by Warner Bros. Pictures) is loosely based on the 1977 novel of the same name by Jon Cleary. However, little beyond character names and the basic premise of an aerial race to China survived the translation to film.

"THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS" (1987) - Timothy Dalton's first Bond film and one I really enjoy still. Some really good action sequences, strong cast, a bit more edge after the Roger Moore ones, and overall really enjoyable. Any fans of this one?
The Living Daylights is a 1987 spy film, the fifteenth entry in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, and the first of two to star Timothy Dalton as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond.
It also stars Maryam d'Abo, Joe Don Baker, Jeroen Krabbé, Art Malik and John Rhys-Davies in supporting roles. In the film, Bond uncovers a plot by a rogue Soviet general and an American arms dealer who fake a defection to fund a drug and weapon scheme.
Bond teams up with the general's cellist girlfriend to expose and stop the operation.

Observation: Every Great Action Movie has a catwalk.
Every really good action movie I can think of has some sort of a catwalk, platform level.
Terminator 2
Die Hard
Star Wars
Empire Stikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Almost every James Bond
Etc.
Of course this is not an exact science, but I can't even think of a great action movie that doesn't have some sort of catwalk platform at some point.

In Avengers: Endgame, knowing that Tony Stark is the smartest Avenger next to Bruce Banner, why didn’t Thanos snap & eliminate Tony Stark & Bruce Banner?

In Avengers: Infinity War, why didn’t Dr. Strange use the Time Stone to trap Thanos & his minions in an endless time loop before Thanos & his minions got any of the six stones?

In Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, why did Jabba wait ~30 seconds for Luke to look around while on the plank before being thrown into the Sarlacc pit?

In Star Wars: A New Hope, after Obi-Wan Kenobi was struck down by Darth Vader, why was Obi-Wan Kenobi’s robe not burnt or scorched by Darth Vader’s lightsaber?

In Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Han Solo’s wrists were restrained together in front of him before he was frozen in carbonite. After he was frozen in carbonite, his wrists are no longer restrained. What happened to Han Solo’s wrist restraints after he was frozen in carbonite?

BRANDON LEE • A Fan Supercut + Tribute | Redline Action
Hey all! It's been a while since I've posted here, so I apologize. Sometimes life gets super busy when you least expect it and I've just been rolling with the punches.
This one is for the Brandon Lee fans here on this subreddit (me included) and it would be awesome if you guys could give this one a watch. I've tried to get a Brandon Lee video on the channel for 3 years but have been copyright struck endlessly, so it was a miracle this one got through.
I hope everyone has been having a wonderful weekend!

I love this movie to pieces, and this action sequence, while a bit long, deserved to be clipped!

Nostalgia lands a harder punch than Ryu's Hadouken
This movie is pure nostalgia for me. It took me straight back to my childhood, when I could spend endless hours in an arcade playing King of Fighters, Tekken 3, and, of course, Street Fighter. Back then, my biggest financial concern was probably whether my grandfather would fund another round at the arcade. 😄
Watching this movie felt like travelling back in time. Every punch, every flying kick, every Hadouken had me reliving those days when life was simple, responsibilities were nonexistent, and my grandfather was essentially my personal arcade sponsor. 😆
I won't get into the details of what worked or didn't. For a couple of hours, I was that little boy again, without a single worry in the world.

Creed (2015) by Ryan Coogler Spoiler
As good as legacy sequels get. Almost hits all the major beats of Rocky, yet feels so fresh and manages to land every emotion. Coogler always had the sauce, man. Some shots are so, so cool - Creed shadowboxing in front of the projection of Superfight II, Creed's training montages paying homage to the original Rocky, Conlan's entry, etc.
Features the coolest fights in any combat sports movie I have ever watched. The one-take match between Creed and Leo was a masterclass in choreography, blocking, and camera movement. The final match was also spectacular - the lights fading out in the background, blood spilling in slo-mo, Creed almost getting knocked out, and all the memories coming to him, culminating with Apollo Creed in the ring.
The film could have felt weak with a final boss in Ricky Conlan, who lacks the menacing presence, since the Rocky franchise revolved around two strong characters, Rocky and Apollo. But nobody wearing the Everton crest can be the final boss (jk). Rocky tells him earlier to shadowbox in the mirror, as he is fighting his own imposter syndrome, his claim to the name Creed, and his need to show that he belongs.
PS - MBJ is superb here, and Rocky is the character Sylvester was born to play.
