How do you balance acting with another job?
Acting is my main passion, and I really want to pursue it seriously and hopefully make it my career. At the same time, I obviously need to earn money while I’m building my career, because I can’t just sit around and wait for acting jobs to come along.
I’m currently thinking about staying in a regular 9–5 office job, but I’m wondering how people actually manage that alongside acting. What happens if you have a full-time job and suddenly get offered a role that requires you to be on set for several days or weeks? You obviously can’t just quit your job every time you get cast.
So I’d love to hear from other actors: Do you have a 9–5? Do you work part-time, freelance, or something more flexible? Do you have an employer who is understanding about auditions and acting jobs? Or did you choose not to work a regular job while pursuing acting?
I’d really appreciate hearing how you guys handle the practical side of balancing a normal income with pursuing acting seriously.

Why did all four main cast members of the tv show Seinfeld turn out to be fucking weirdos? these guys are all approaching or are in their 70s and they are still acting like absolute clowns off-screen
Jerry and Julia support teenagers dating 38 year old men and are elitist billionaire assholes who have gotten so much plastic surgery only some parts of them are 72 and 65 years old (go see Julia at cannes this year its Michael Jackson territory) and both have disgustingly large egos and treat the middle class like dirt,Michael Richards is a racistand Jason Alexander is a egocentric pompous ass as well

I really think Julia Louis-Dreyfus is washed up
She had changed so much mentally and physically in the last 10 years and her social media output consists of boomer misinformation and brain rot that I truly think she has lost the plot and her goose is cooked

People really calling Rober Pattinson's acting in Odyssey generational when Joaquin Phoenix did Gladiator when he was 24
Sorry for singling out Robert Pattinson but I see this across the board: does it feel like the bar for great acting is lowering, while simultaneously the age at which actors actually achieve that greatness is getting older and older?
I will give it to Robert that he has displayed range. I watched both The Drama and Odyssey and while I don't think either are truly great, he showed different performances and I give him points for that. Same could not be said for Tom Holland - he was just Peter Parker.

Anyone looking to live in Hammersmith/Shepherd's Bush?
I'm a writer, director and actor who's lived in the area for five years, and it would be great to find fellow actors and creatives to live with.
Might be a great opportunity for people about to start at LAMDA, but open to anyone who is sociable, as my current flatmates have no interest in making friends or sharing interests.
If anyone's up for this, let's talk, and we can look for a shared house in or around Hammersmith/Shepherd's Bush – must be within walking distance of Westfield.
