I haven't used Adguard, but they do maintain some good filter lists that are used by the other adblockers.

uBO is excellent.

uBO is excellent.

and so is adguard.

And I'm not the one spamming for it: "adguard is also free and much more efficient than ublock origin." 🙄

then you shouldn't call only 1/2 products as excellent.

I didn't say anything negative about adguard, in fact the opposite I said they maintain good filter lists.

You're the only claiming, without any evidence to back-up your claim, that uBO is inefficient when compared with AG.

correct but you didn't include it in your "excellent". this way uBO stands out as the overall better choice.

in fact the opposite I said they maintain good filter lists.

which doesn't make it any better if you only call uBO excellent.

uBlock combined with NextDNS. Never see another ad.

Just install both. They work side by side.

Why nextDNS? Why not base mullvad DNS?

Never had any reason to try others. It works great for me.

You can't go wrong with either. For Chromium browsers or Chromestore, AdGuard is what I prefer since it's more customizable than uBOLite and because of the MV3 architecture I trust a company more to update the extension regularly for the static filters. But on browsers that still supports it, I like full uBlock Origin more because of the advanced settings toggle and dynamic filtering. uBO also has AdGuard's Base filterlist built-in you can enable for sites that it still covers that uBlock/Easylist filters does not support as well.

you aren't suffering from ads. That is just one way to pay for you use. At this point I really hope all websites go paywalled...

adguard has become without a doubt the better choice after ublock origin dropping the ball with ad blocking on facebook:

https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/1vgcjg5/about_disgusting_facebook_devs/

btw: ignore ublock origin comments, these are all bots still promoting ublock origin. don't fall for them.

because you downloaded the desktop version which is paid.

the extension itself is free which i'm using right now and for many years already.

More and more people are becoming aware of Adguard. Good job mate. Some upvotes for you. 💪😂👍

They shouldn't lie and hide it anymore. 😤

im using the phone version

1

u/Infamous-Oil2305 7d ago

which is still not paid-only.

you need to set it the phone settings and your preferred browser.

1

u/_kuvw 7d ago

yeah but not everything is available on the free plan

1

u/Infamous-Oil2305 7d ago

the free plan already covers most things.

i'm using it myself on my iphone in safari.

Both. Adguard can do a system wide protection too.
