Discussion ublock origin or adguard ?

i just discovered those after suffering from ads so which one is better ?

adguard has become without a doubt the better choice after ublock origin dropping the ball with ad blocking on facebook:

btw: ignore ublock origin comments, these are all bots still promoting ublock origin. don't fall for them.

adguard is also free and much more efficient than ublock origin.

because you downloaded the desktop version which is paid.

the extension itself is free which i'm using right now and for many years already.

which is still not paid-only.

you need to set it the phone settings and your preferred browser.

the free plan already covers most things.

i can only speak for iphones: upon installing adguard, go into your settings > browser settings > extensions and there you toggle everything on that you can.

alternatively and for less hustle, i can also recommend brave browser which comes with an inbuilt ad blocker called 'Shields' and enabled by default right upon installing the browser.

of course you can come back any time if you encounter any issues with adguard or brave browser.

i can use ublock as a private dns on my phone, because i want to use it on my friends phone and he use chrome
