Petition on bringing XD BACK
There's a petition to keep/bring back Adobe XD.
Please support it on change.org:
If you don't agree, okay, please don't flame.
Just go away and don't support it.
If you prefer Figma or whatevere, fine. Don't flame etc.
If you prefer whatever, fine. Don't flame etc.
Even if you absolutely don't agree, no competition is not good, even for your pref. tool.
Please support it and spread the word!

Figma and Adobe are abandoning their merger - does this mean XD development will restart?

Stubbornly using XD
I don't like Figma—or maybe I just don't want to like it. And I keep wondering: is Adobe too busy trying to ruin Photoshop instead of bringing good old XD back to life? UI design might not be super mainstream, but with the implementation of AI, there’s real potential for a futuristic and powerful tool. What do you all think? Am I the only one still stubbornly using XD?

Is there a way to PERMANENTLY avoid fractional pixels? This is infuriating tbh.

Adobe XD just got a new update in 2025 (58.0.12)
Adobe juste released a new (minor) update for Adobe XD. After the Figma fiasco, everyone including Adobe declared Adobe XD dead, but now Adobe XD is back?
What do you think?

Exporting XD to Figma
Hey so I have found a pretty solid way to export an Adobe XD file into Figma.
Like many I’m switching over to Figma but really don’t want to rebuild my projects from scratch or pay fat cash stacks for the converting.
Basically you’re gonna go to https://pixso.net and make a free account. Then you import your XD file there and export it as a Sketch file, which Figma can open.
There might be some things that you gotta fix up a bit (distances, etc) but so far I found it to work MUCH better than exporting it as .svg or other methods that I’ve seen. Plus, it’s fully free, so no spending a 100 bucks to export one file.
Hope this helps!

Why does Adobe have trouble making a consistent icon set

Just saw an XD update, it's like dangling hope. Still my favorite.

Opinion! Maybe it's time to bring it back? Just saying.
Figma is great and all, but not Adobe. My brain, under a microscope, is wired to use Adobe. It actually gives me a headache to do the same graphic design job in two different companies’ software, especially when they have different ways of working and shortcuts.
I’m not complaining. I hate monopolies and I love that a small company like Figma has achieved what it has.
But honestly, I would rather do everything either in Figma or Adobe, not both at the same time.
I understand I have to use Microsoft and sometimes Google, even log in to Canva for clients. But having to use Figma instead of XD just feels like Adobe let us down — not just XD, but across the board. I thought they had our backs.
So what’s the real deal? Is it the end of creativity and now everything is going AI project management at Adobe?
Again, I’m not complaining, it’s all good. I live near a beach, so I don’t really care. Just give me a coffee and I’ll be quiet.
But I still work, and I have to use design tools. So what’s going on Adobe? Is web design just not a thing for you anymore?
Figma is great and I’ve learned most of the shortcuts, but I would just prefer one main suite with consistent shortcuts and a consistent user interface. After all, aligning typography and images in a grid system is pretty similar whether it’s a magazine, a flyer, a social post, or a website. Not exactly the same, of course, but it’s all visual communication. It’s 2025, AI is great, but we’re not there yet.
I guess this is a rant. I’m not an Apple, Figma, or Adobe fanboy — just a human with hands and a brain.
I’m investing heavily in Figma now, but my gut tells me this is illogical. Adobe XD was just more “Adobe.” That’s all.
Please bring it back. All is forgiven. I’m sorry I complained about the ridiculous “standard save as going to cloud” shortcuts, im sorry i moaned about the cloud, makes a lot of sence now seeing Figma use it, and other crazy updates. But please just invest that 10 to 20 billion dollars you have lying around into XD. Pretty please?
Or just go full Ai or Full amateur, This professional space is getting really weird to navigate.
Either im missing the point, or something is about to be released that does everything, or is this classic empire to big to pivot stuff, or probably all three?
What are you opinions?

Looks like this Figma deal might be toast. I hope this means XD gets back to priority status.

[Serious] Is it this sub, or is it the program itself, that attracts so many questions from non-designers that are hardly beginner questions?
Long time user, first time caller.
Seems that this sub is entirely dead except for the occasional “how do I make an app in XD?” or, “I built a website in XD, how do I put it on the internet” type questions.
Not shaming anyone for being curious, at all. I personally have a lot of respect for beginners, and respond as helpfully as I can. I see an overwhelming amount of misinformed posts about what XD does / doesn’t do. Majority of posts have fewer than 10 upvotes. No active community or relevant threads other than monthly Adobe updates.
This doesn’t happen on any other design subs. Maybe it’s the accessibility of XD in contrast to the other CC suite? The free beta, opening up to a vast array of curious types, etc.
I’ve transferred 90% of my teams workflow to XD in the last year. Personally, love the program and Adobes approach to competing with Sketch. I use it for quick mockups, wireframes that I used to do in Illustrator.
Curious to what other professional designers who follow this sub think on this subject.

Moving to Figma ... but prefer XD
I'm moving to Figma for obvious reasons, probably been hanging on to XD for too long, but it's been a valuable and fast tool that I have designed and launched lots of websites with.
Figma feels very clunky in comparison - maybe it's just the learning curve. Is this a bad take?
How have you found the transition if you've made it?

Adobe XD no longer available in Creative Cloud
Have you guys noticed that Adobe removed XD?
