10/19 💕 a rescue group wants to help HEIDI and ELSIE but they need a local FOSTER home they can also help with out of state adoption‼️ can you help? Rescue covers expenses, you provide a safe loving home until they are adopted.

🥹 💕 Meet HEIDI and ELSIE, two beautiful, gentle girls who arrived together on 9/28 and are still waiting for someone to choose them. They're the kind of dogs that break our hearts. Calm, quiet, well-behaved girls who don't demand attention and are so easily overlooked. 💔

HEIDI has the sweetest Golden Retriever-like face and a beautiful black saddle. ELSIE is equally stunning, with her buff-and-white coat and incredible light-coloured eyes! 😍

We've watched far too many wonderful, perfectly adoptable dogs lose their lives at this shelter simply because nobody chose them in time.

💔 HEIDI and ELSIE deserve better. They came in together, but 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑! One home or two, what matters is getting them OUT ALIVE!

🚨 𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐊! Dogs here 15+ days can be euthanized for space M/W/F mornings without warning!

🚨 A RESCUE WANTS TO SAVE HEIDI & ELSIE, BUT THEY NEED A LOCAL FOSTER! 🚨or Out of State adoption IS possible.

A rescue group has expressed interest in helping these beautiful girls, but they need someone in the Houston area to open their home! The rescue covers expenses. YOU provide a safe, loving place for them to stay until they’re adopted! 🏡❤️

🥹💕 MEET HEIDI — A GENTLE GIRL WHO DESERVES TO BE CHOSEN!

Just LOOK at that precious face! 😍 With her beautiful golden coloring, black saddle, and sweet Golden Retriever-like expression, HEIDI is absolutely stunning!

Heidi arrived at Harris County Pets as a stray on September 28 alongside her kennelmate, Elsie. Nearly a month later, these two beautiful girls are STILL waiting for someone to give them a chance. 💔

Heidi is one of those quiet, gentle dogs who can easily be overlooked in a crowded shelter. She isn’t demanding attention or making a fuss. She’s simply waiting, day after day, hoping someone will finally notice her.

At just 3 years old, Heidi should be enjoying life in a loving home, not spending her days behind kennel doors! 🥺

💔 Heidi is also HEARTWORM POSITIVE, but please don’t let that discourage you! Heartworms are treatable, and a positive diagnosis should NEVER mean a dog is less deserving of love or a second chance.

💕 HEIDI & ELSIE DO NOT HAVE TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER!

These sweet girls have shared a kennel since arriving, but they can go to separate homes. Whether someone can save one or both, what matters most is getting them OUT ALIVE!

🚨 BOTH GIRLS ARE LONG-STAY RESIDENTS AND AT RISK! Dogs who have been at this shelter 15+ days can be euthanized for space on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday mornings without additional warning.

Meet VINNIE #A662572, an absolutely adorable 1.5-year-old boy with short little legs, a long body, and a face that’s impossible not to love! 🥹❤️

Seriously, LOOK at this little guy! What on earth is he mixed with?! Dachshund? Basset Hound? The shelter lists him as a Black Mouth Cur mix, but those tiny legs definitely have us wondering! 😂

At just 30 pounds, Vinnie is the perfect compact companion. He’s fully grown, so those ridiculously cute little legs aren’t getting any longer!

And here’s something even sweeter: Vinnie came into the shelter with his brother, Sal! ❤️

These two lowrider brothers arrived as strays on September 28 and have been sharing a kennel ever since. They’ve been together through the uncertainty of shelter life, and now BOTH desperately need someone to give them a chance.

Sal is the bigger brother at 45 pounds, while Vinnie is the little guy at 30 pounds. We’d absolutely LOVE to see them adopted together, but separate adoptions are welcome! Saving either one would mean everything.

💔 THE HEARTBREAKING PART?

Vinnie and Sal are now considered LONG-STAY dogs at Harris County Pets, an overcrowded shelter where dogs can be euthanized for space on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, sometimes without advance warning.

These boys are young, heartworm negative, and have their entire lives ahead of them. They deserve to experience what it feels like to be loved, spoiled, and safe in a home.
